This DC power supply is 2 quadrants. Its high electrical performances allow to test or simulate all kinds of generators or loads with high dynamics, very low noise over a wide voltage range. Moreover, hardware, software and firmware can be easily customized to satisfy your specific requests for embedded, R&D or production environment. It can be remote easily using protocol TCP/IP on Ethernet link or SCPI on serial RS232 link. It can so be put in an automatic test system using, for example, our software package OPS. ANALOG INPUTS DC POWER SUPPLY POWER ANALYZER OPTION FACILITES The POWER ANALYZER included allows acquiring voltage and current signals simultaneously at a maximum sampling rate of 100 kech/s, performing calculations and returning the results of the calculations or samples to a host system. Each channel has its own memory and its own 16-bit converter, allowing sampling on both channels simultaneously. It offers synchronous analytics with the process and enables a significant reduction in the cycle time while improving the accuracy of the measurements. Three modes of acquisition are available : Permanent mode, Synchronous mode, Acquisition-compression mode. 3 ACQUISITION MODES Permanent mode: signals are continuously analyzed and measurement records are updated periodically. They are accessible by the host system and provide information on the current value of the channel. The time base for the calculation (FFT) is fixed or issued out of the analyzed signal. In the latter case, a high-speed PLL (over one period) calculates the sampling frequency to acquire 1024 points per period. After acquisition, the board makes a FFT without windowing (or rectangular) guaranteeing a high accuracy of measurement with only one period. Synchronous mode: measurements are engaged / disengaged on order of the host system with an accuracy of 100 µs. Records are updated only during this time period, so that the measured parameters are correlated with stimulus driven also by the host system. As for the previous mode, the time base is fixed or dynamic. Acquisition-compression mode: this mode is possible only on the 2-way cards. Sampling is at the maximum frequency, but only the points that differ more from x % (x being programmable) of the previous point are preserved and dated. It is thus possible to have a maximum of details during a sudden change and a minimum of memory used if the signal is "flat". This mode is particularly suitable for the measurement on a DC bus (batteries for example). CONTROL SOFTWARE Puissance+ OPS3 software allows configuring for each card measurements to be carried out (for example card installed in an AC load system). By activating the continuous repatriation of measurements, this "Power meter" screen is refreshed periodically. It displays the instantaneous values of measures. The rank of the harmonic can be also selected. This Acquisition screen configures the duration of a sample and the duration of the acquisition. 2 QUADRANTS OPERATION PS-ABOS power supplies are using voltage regulation with current limitation. In «Q1» area, PS-ABOS is working as a «GENERATOR or SOURCE»: instantaneous power is positive. In «Q4» area, PS-ABOS is working as an «ABSORBER or SINK»: instantaneous power is negative. Current Q1 (U>0 and I>0) Q4 (U>0 and I<0) Voltage PERMANENT OPERATION These diagrams explain relation between current and voltage. Total power in generation and absorption are limited by transistors capabilities. X-coordinates explain voltage, Y-coordinates explain current. Permanent use is allowed inside these areas. STANDARD CONTROL Local control: The control with graphics and touch screen device disposed in front panel gives access to all control functions and the display of measurements. Remote control: The control device includes an Ethernet TCP/IP interface and a RS232 interface for drive using the supervision PC. OPS SOFTWARE (Example of screen) To easily drive the DC power supplies. OPS1 software allows both to generate specific waveforms and to display waveforms uploaded from acquisition board (when power analyzer option has been purchased). UDC02 library proposes a lot of predefined waveforms. They can be organized to create a complex waveform (see below) for automotive or aeronautic applications. OPS3 software communicates with PS-ABOS using Ethernet link or serial link. OPS3 can send basic commands (ON / OFF, voltage, max current) and read and display basic measurements (status, voltage, current). OPS3 is used to send waveforms to PS-ABOS.
