The Friends of Holliday Park About The Friends of Holliday Park: Friends of Holliday Park (FHP) was formed in 1991 and is an independent 501(c)(3) public charity committed to preserving and improving Holliday Park. To that end, FHP initially raised approximately $400,000 to install the playground. FHP then raised approximately $4.8 million to construct, endow, and donate to the city, the Nature Center, which opened to the public in 2000. FHP works closely with Indy Parks to support and maintain many aspects of the Park, including sponsorship of the free summer concert series, restoration of the rock garden, regular trail renovations, and support of environmental education programs. FHP s current $3.2 million capital campaign seeks to renovate The Ruins and The Exhibit Hall.
