Recommended Items to Use With This Color Journal: Your Bible A Binder or Folder For Storing Your Pages Hole Puncher Pencil Sharpener Pens, Pencils, and Highlighters Markers (Both thick and fine point) Colored Pencils and Crayons A Printer And Any Other Creative Tools You Might Think Of! *Tip: I recommend printing all of the pages to have them handy. If you want to print the color sheets and journal pages only, be sure to switch the setting on your printer to print pages 6-21. Meditate: Before you begin, spend some time in prayer and ask God to open your heart to everything He wants to reveal to you through His word. Here is a prayer I like to pray before I begin: Lord I praise you for your word and thank you that it s full of truth and wisdom. I ask that my heart is open and ready to receive all you have to teach me as I meditate and reflect on your word today. In Jesus name I pray, Amen! *Tip: As you are coloring read the bible verse aloud a few times (this will also help you to memorize it) and think about what God is saying through the words. What truth can you take away from this verse? Is it stating a promise or command from God? Is it encouraging you to do something? *Tip: Write down anything that comes to mind on the corresponding journal page so you don t forget it. Reflect: This is your time to write down everything God revealed to you. When you are journaling, jot down anything else that comes to mind. It can be a prayer, a thought, or a single word. You could even doodle, draw, or paint on it if want. There s more than one way to journal and you need to do what works for you. Here is an example of one of my journaling pages: As you can see in the picture I chose to circle the words day, rejoice, and glad in the bible verse. Doing this always helps to get my thoughts flowing. I then wrote out another prayer and highlighted the words day and time. This inspired me to jot down my thoughts on time and thank the Lord for the days I have been given. To complete it, I decided to do a little doodling. *Tip: Circle, underline, or highlight any words that stand out to you in the bible verse to help get your writing. *Tip: Write the date on the journaling page when you are finished with it. This way when you come back to it later, you will be able to see how much you ve progressed in your relationship with the Lord.
Special Bonus: You are going to love this! Located in the back of this color journal is a blank color sheet and journal page. These pages are perfect for you to fill in with your favorite bible verse or any other verse you want to memorize or journal about. *Tip: Are you in a bible study? Use these pages to help you learn and memorize scripture from the study. May the time you spend on this color journal be a blessing and encourage you to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus.
