Our new shop address is: Unit 7, The Beresford Centre, Wade Road, Basingstoke, RG24 8FA. We are next to Speccies Warehouse, and MinuteMan Press. This information can also be found on our website and on our Facebook page. After a lot of searching and tearing out of hair we have finally found the missing tea bags! They were in a box marked Christmas stock. Now we just have to find the Christmas stock! Charity collection We will be supporting the Air Ambulance by collecting the green, red and blue clean milk bottle tops. If you would like to leave any with us we will ensure that they are given to the Air Ambulance. They will be sent to a recycling plant where they will be broken down into small granules. These are then sold on to other companies who use them to make new plastic products including; car parts, buckets, wheelie bins, kitchen utensils, plastic tubes, plastic garden furniture, plastic toys and black bin bags. The Air Ambulance will receive a payment from the recycling plant. Plastic Footprint Due to the mounting concerns regarding the amount of plastics that we use on our planet, The Bead Base has decided to try to reduce their plastic footprint. If you have Bead Base tubes that are undamaged and are of no more use to you, bring them in and we will try to reuse as many returned tubes as possible. We will only be using carrier bags for heavier items if you do not have a bag large enough yourself, otherwise we will use paper bags. We also have grip seal polythene bags in a variety of sizes that still have a lot of use left in them. These will be available for a donation to any of our charities. Thank you for bearing with us as we make these changes. New stock Delicas are being restocked, we have had a new delivery of Nymo, bugle beads, pens and other beadable products. Holly is working on lots of new patterns for these. We are also expecting a new stock of coasters in any day now. Class Planning On Saturday 3 rd November we will be welcoming back Heather Robertson for another polyclay class. This time we will be making poppies for Remembrance. The class cost will be 25 but this will include the clay needed. During half term we will again be holding a couple of Parent/Child classes, this time making beaded spiders on Tuesday 30 th October and a simple beaded bauble cover on Thursday 1 st November. Please see the class list for details.
Pattern Designs Look out for Holly s two new jewellery designs, Royal Rosettes and Patchwork Prisms. She has also designed a new bauble pattern and some new coaster designs. These will be available soon in our patterns folder in the shop. Bead and Banter This is a friendly group meeting on the last Wednesday of every month, commencing at normal shop closing, where you can bring your work along, bead and chat to like-minded enthusiasts. Tea or coffee is provided, and occasionally the odd cake or biscuit. There is a 2 fee for the evening. The dates for the next Bead and Banters are: Wednesday 26 th September 6-9pm Wednesday 31 st October 6-9pm Table space availability From September we will sadly be losing our Thursday Learning Disability group due to a reshuffle of Hampshire Day Services. If you know of any group who would like to utilize this time please let us know. If the space is not filled, Thursdays will free up to accommodate anyone who would like to do a class or just sit and bead. If you wish to come and bead at the table, please see our chart below for available times. All the green time zones are for free beading around the table. Please refrain from coming in during the red time zones, as these are designated for our Learning Disability groups only. This table is a guide and it may change from week to week, so if you wish to come in for a beading session, please contact us beforehand to make sure the table will be free. During the summer holidays, we will not have our groups in, but we may still have other classes going on. 10am 11am 12pm 1pm 2pm 3pm 4pm 5pm 6pm 7pm Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday 10.30am-11.30am Community Link 10am-1pm Free morning 1.30-2.30pm Community Link 3pm-6pm Free afternoon 10am-6pm Free all day 10am-1pm Free morning 1pm-6pm A mostly free afternoon but we reserve the right to use this time for extra classes if needed 6.30pm-9pm Evening classes 1.30pm-5.30pm Afternoon classes 10.30am-12.30pm Morning classes 1pm-5pm Afternoon classes Unsubscribing If you wish to unsubscribe to our newsletter, please send an email to holly@thebeadbase.co.uk with the subject Unsubscribe.
