An official launching of Roof Junction for Himanchal Pradesh region was jointly organized by Tata Steel & Mangla Sons at Hotel Altius, Chandigarh on 8th Dec 2012. With matching pace of time and requirements, buying tendencies also keep changing. Target audience keep graduating from mere buying and selling to tailormade solutions. In an era of Malls and Departmental Stores, everyone seeks host of services and products under one roof. Similarly, all solutions for constructing a roof under one roof has been missed immensely from demand and supply factor.

All these un-comforts became a major source and reason to develop a productive concept of Roof Junction. Tata Steel and Mangla Sons officially launched Roof Junction at Hotel Altius, Chandigarh. All 70 dealers of Tata Shaktee & Durashine were invited with couple of their effective fabricators to mark presence and understanding the first step towards Roof Junction Business Partnership.
A very precise launching was initiated by Mr. V.R. Swaminathan, Sr.Manager Sales of Tata Steel. The dawning begin with a water rippling and brain storming session where all the attendees were asked to come up with their understanding with 360% degree aspect of roofing process, common shortfalls, post-construction problems, costing and other parameters involved in totality.
Prominent was to make all understand the need of this productive service, the value addition of being a Super-Brand, guaranteed satisfaction of customer and hence mutual business growth, replacing traditional approach of construction and solution to well disciplined & modern methods. Difference between existing business and roofing solution business was projected with most practical points.
Every query was responded, every question was answered, encouraging atmosphere was build up to have open session with Dealers and Fabricators so that they leave with convinced state of mind and conceived state of Roof Junction Business. Mr.Hemant Mangla, MD, Mangla Sons, took personal interest in understanding the hurdles and took spot decisions in amending the same as well.
To conclude on best note, all Dealers were gifted with a token of appreciation for their presence, and seven Dealers were identified as Roof Junction Partners to begin with.
Mangla Sons introduced the branded accessories e.g. Ridge Cap, Gutter with Down-Pipe etc. made of GPRS, developed at their end to support Roofjunction initiative. A live demonstration of the products were also given during the ceremony. The dealers were encouraged to use only the company prescribed accessories as part of the Roofjunction offer, so that the end-consumer is assured of overall superior product quality.
In fact, six channel partners came with prior mind-set and one, Satpal & Company from Dadhol Dist. Bilaspur, joined after listening the oration. A few more got motivated to go for it, but need their time and space to take decision. However, SM cautioned the dealers to think well and analyze before committing themselves to this initiative, as once agreed there will be no backing out, since the Company will do complete Roofjunction Branding in their Shop, and thereafter responsibility to execute minimum no. of projects in a month, will become mandatory. Fabricators are in huge demand in Himanchal Pradesh, for there is more job and less fabricators to supply their services. Almost all of them have their appointments booked for 6 months or an year or so. Hence, the role of fabricator was well acknowledged. Roof Junction Fabricator Club was conceived considering the importance of their working profile and the reach & impact they have in the mind-sets and decisions of end users. Dealers too approved the same. To award Tata Steel Authorization to Fabricator adds credential to quality work. This graduation initiated by Tata Steel was much appreciated by all Fabricators. Plant visit, Rewards, Lucky Draws, Training Session and National Recognition through Newsletters. Almost every effort to keep fabricator motivated and interested in partnering the project, was informed.
To convey our genuine concern and to take care of their safety too, Tata Steel and Mangla Sons gifted Safety Belts and Helmets to all the Fabricators who participated Roof Junction Launching session.
