Last row- Ch 1, sc2tog. Fasten off White Border and Eyelid- Join Pistachio (Green) with a sl st in the st of the last row. Ch 1, 2 sc in same st as join, sc evenly along the row ends of the eye and in the sts left unworked in the pupil, all the way around, sc in same sp as first 2 sts. Join with sl st in first sc made. * Sl st in next st, work 15 scflo across the top of the eye. Fasten off leaving a long tail for Sewing. For Opposite eye work the same up to *. Work 15 scblo across the top of the eye. Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew on eyes using the sc border and the unworked lps from the eyelids. Stuff Eyes before completely sewing on head. TIP- When sewing on the eyes, place one of them over the round joins to hide it! Back Fins- Each individual fin is made of 2 pieces single crocheted together. So you will need to make 4 each of the Back and Front Fins. Ch 3 counts as dc, so if it says dc in first dc that makes an increase. Make 4 With Pistachio (Green) Ch 11 Row 1- Dc in 4 th ch from hook and in each ch Rows 2-5- Ch 3, dc in first dc, dc in each dc across ending with 2dc in last dc. Rows 6-8- Ch 3, dc in next dc and in each dc Row 9- Ch 3. Dc2tog, dc in each dc Row 10- Ch 3, dc in next dc and each dc across to last 2 sts, dc2tog. Row 11- Ch 3, dc3tog, and dc in each dc across to last 2 sts, dc2tog. Row 12- Ch 3, dc2tog, dc in each dc across to last 3 sts, dc3tog. Holding 2 fin pieces together so the sts line up in the same manner, join with green in the corner of the foundation chain. Working through both thicknesses work 2 sc in each dc row end to join pieces all the way around leaving the foundation chain unworked. Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing. Lightly stuff fin and sew onto the back of the shell just under the ridge, closing up the foundation chain as you sew. Be sure that when you join the pieces together you start on the opposite side of the foundation chain corners so that the right side of the single crochet joining seam is facing.
