From the Editor MELISSA MIDDLETON, 2L SBA BOARD 2007-2008 Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. I know many of us were watching college football and catching up with family. It is always nice to have a quick break from the hectic start to the school year. To recap, it was great to see so many of your faces at CLUB DAY last week. I know that many of you are new to our law school community, and I hope that each of you found clubs to get involved with. For those of you who are running for SBA Representative, good luck campaigning. There is a list of candidates on p. 8. Please don t forget to cast your vote September 10th, 11th, or 12th in Bannan Lounge. Finally, I wanted to share some information with all of you regarding our Community Service Committee at Santa Clara. The Community Service Club and the SBA will be sponsoring "Make a Difference" Week, September 23-28th. This week will be full of events which offer the student body an opportunity to learn about local community service projects. For instance, on Sunday (9/23), come and race for a cure with W&L and the SBA at the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure. Then, gather community service information in Bannan Lounge at the Community Service Information Fair on Monday (9/24). On, Wednesday (9/26), watch as prominent community services leaders share their experiences at a speaker panel. And finally, on Friday (9/28) evening, join the Benefit for Social Justice as we celebrate the end to a wonderful week! If you have any questions regarding the Community Service Committee, or Make a Difference Week, please email SBA President Jennifer Leung at justjen88@gmail.com.
