Behind the Scenes of Newstalk's New Line Up Starting September 12 Breakfast Newstalk Breakfast on air from 7 9 am will see a few changes in staff as well as a totally new presenting team. Newstalk s political Editor Shane Coleman will be joined by TV3 news broadcaster Collette Fitzpatrick, INM s Paul Williams and former Irish Rugby star Alan Quinlan to anchor the station s new Breakfast Show. Paul Doyle - Senior Producer Paul Doyle currently works as Senior Producer for Newstalk Breakfast he joined the station in November 2015 and holds over 15 year's experience in the media industry. Aoife Gillivan - Assistant Producer Aoife Gillivan joins the team as Assistant Producer as a previous researcher on Newstalk's 'Moncrieff' show. Prior to joining Moncrieff, Aoife previously worked as a production manager of NPR Ted Talks, produced 'Mindfeed', 'The Picture Show' and 'The Currency' with the station. Nadine Maloney Producer Nadine Maloney takes a producers role on Breakfast from The Right Hook. She has previously worked on the 'The Colette Fitzpatrick Show' and a researcher for the station's 'Lunchtime' programme on Newstalk. Peadar Breathnach Researcher Peader joins the weekday breakfast show from his previous role of researcher on Down to Business with Bobby Kerr. Peader joined Newstalk in 2014 and has previously worked for the online site Pundit Arena and Biffo.ie. Elaine Power Researcher Elaine joined Newstalk earlier this year having previously worked with RTÉ as Broadcast Coordinator/Production Assistant for The Late Debate and Saturday with Claire Byrne as well as Reporter for 'Here Comes The Weekend' on RTÉ Radio 1.
Pat Kenny Pat Kenny will now host a longer show from 9am 12pm daily. We are told that the show at present will see no change to their staffing. From human interest interviews to live music, this sharp, intelligent and insightful show it will be sure to please a variety of listeners. Aisling Moore - Producer Aisling Moore is the producer on Newstalk's 'The Pat Kenny Show'. She was previously the assistant producer and took over form Eithne Kelly who has now joined RTÉ. She previously worked as a researcher and reporter on The Pat Kenny Show, having moved from working as a researcher for Lunchtime with Jonathan Healy. Before moving into Newstalk in 2010, Aisling was producer and presenter of the flagship talk programme The Sue Nunn Show on KCLR 96fm as well as the PPI Award winning The Arts Show. Barbara Feeney Researcher Barbara Feeney is a researcher for Newstalk's 'The Pat Kenny Show'. She has previously worked across a range of shows on the station including 'The Right Hook' and 'Moncrieff'. Eimear Bradley - Senior Producer Eimear Bradley has been the producer on the Pat Kenny Show on Newstalk since the show began in September 2013. Eoin Brennan Researcher Eoin Brennan is a researcher on Newstalk Fm's 'The Pat Kenny Show'. Jessica Kelly - Technology Correspondent Jessica Kelly is technology correspondent for Newstalk. She previously has worked as researcher with the Pat Kenny Show and a tech reviewer on the The Right Hook.
George Hook George Hook takes over the lunchtime slot from 12 2 pm with a new show High Noon, offering comment and opinion on the day's most important stories. Mark Simpson Editor Mark Simpson became the senior producer of the 'Right Hook' in February 2015, a role he also held from July 2006 to February 2014. He worked as the producer of 'Down to Business and 'The Sunday Show' on Newstalk from July 2014 to January 2015. Claire Darmody Producer In August, it was announced that Claire Darmody would be joining Newstalk to producer George Hook's new lunchtime programme. Radio Today reported that she will continue to cover for the weekly Wicklow This Week show at East Coast FM. Alex Rousseau Researcher Alex Rousseau is a researcher for Newstalk's the 'Right Hook'.
Sean Moncrieff Sean Moncrieff s programme will now be broadcast from 2pm 4pm. Claire Collins - Producer Claire Collins is currently producer on Newstalk's Moncrieff. Claire has worked with Newstalk since 2013 on shows such Newstalk Breakfast, The Sunday Show, The Tom Dunne Show and The Right Hook. Before joining Newstalk she worked as a researcher and reporter for Radio Kerry and RTÉ Radio 1. Donal Donovan - Producer Donal Donovan is also a producer for Newstalk's 'Moncrieff'. Prior to this he was a researcher for 'The Right Hook' and 'Lunchtime'. Simon Tierney Researcher Simon Tierney is a Newstalk researcher working on the 'Moncrieff' show. Drive Drive will focus on the main stories of the day with Chris Donoghue and Sarah McInerney, former political correspondent with The Sunday Times. It will broadcast from 4 7pm. Eimear O'Shea Producer Eimear O'Shea is will be joining Drive from Newstalk's Lunchtime show. She previously held the position of researcher on The Right Hook and Lunchtime. She has been working for Newstalk since 2014. Previously Eimear worked as a producer, researcher and reporter for KCLR96FM. Emma Cawley Producer Emma Cawley joined Newstalk as a researcher in 2007. She is now a producer on Newstalk Drive. Dan Flanagan Researcher Dan Flanagan switches from Breakfast to Drive where he still will undertake the role of researcher. Shane Hannon Researcher Shane Hannon is a freelance researcher who will be joining Drive from his current role on Newstalk s Lunchtime.
