All personnel must be instructed to remove any malfunctioning equipment. 2. Ensure that all employees who use this tool are trained in the proper use of this tool and are aware of the dangers that may arise if they do not follow the procedure outlined in this brochure. 3. Ensure that all signs DANGER CUTTING TOOL IN OPERATION (included with tool) are posted and visible from any approach to the tool. 4. Ensure that all employees are instructed not to walk in front of the tool during its use. 5. Ensure that all employees are instructed not to hold, not to restrain and not to catch any part of the carcass during the operation of this tool. 6. Enclosed are four (4) copies of NOTICE TO OPERATORS AND MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL. Post one copy on the employees bulletin board; give one copy to the operator(s); give one copy to the maintenance foreman; and give one copy to the cleanup foreman. Additional copies are available on request. 7. The tool is designed and intended to be powerful. This fact should be obvious to your employees, but you must emphasize it to them. 8. Never make modifications or alterations to the tool. Replace any missing or illegible labels. 9. Ensure that proper procedures are established in accordance with OSHA s lockout/tagout procedures (29 CFR 1910.147) to prevent accidental startup or release of stored energy. 10. Follow our installation and maintenance instructions for proper installation and care of the tool. 11. Avoid injury. Do not permit the tool to be misused. 12. If you resell or distribute a Jarvis product, you must provide the purchaser with the appropriate safety sheets and tool brochure. Additional copies of safety sheets and tool brochures will be provided upon request.

SAFETY MESSAGES TO OPERATORS, MAINTENANCE AND CLEANUP PERSONNEL REMOVE ANY MALFUNCTIONING TOOL FROM SERVICE REPORT ANY PROBLEMS TO YOUR SUPERVISOR 1. Disconnect the power supply in accordance with OSHA s lockout/tagout procedures (29 CFR 1910.147) before making any blade changes. 2. Disconnect the power supply in accordance with OSHA s lockout/tagout procedures (29 CFR 1910.147) before performing any repairs or maintenance. 3. Disconnect the power supply - or have the power supply disconnected - in accordance with OSHA s lockout/tagout procedures (29 CFR 1910.147) before performing any cleanup. 4. Disconnect the power supply when the tool is not in use. 5. Never put fingers, hands or other parts of the body on the cutting edge or within the cutting path of the tool when it is connected to the power supply. 6. Never allow people to walk in front the tool during its use. 7. Never allow people to hold, restrain or catch any part of the carcass while the tool is operating. 8. Test thetool prior touseor daily. Depress each trigger separately andthe tool should not start. Depress one trigger, thenpause one secondand depressthe other trigger andthe tool should not start. Repeat this procedure reversing the triggers. Depress both triggers simultaneously and the tool should start. With the tool running, release one trigger and the tool should stop. Continue holding the depressed trigger and then depress the other trigger. The tool should not start. Repeat this procedure holding the other trigger. If the tool malfunctions, remove it from service and report or repair it immediately. 9. Never depress the triggers unless you want to use the tool. 10. Never make modifications or alterations to the tool. Replace any missing or illegible labels.

Refer to figure 5 (below). specifications and installation instructions page 14 of 16 Note: The brake is voltage specific, 230V, 460V or 575V. Use appropriate wire. Refer to the connection diagram located inside the cover of the brake / anti -tie down control box. 4.1 Run wires from the appropriate AC power supply to the terminal block inside the brake / anti - tie down control box (see connection diagram inside control box). 4.2 Attach the pre -wired three foot long cord to the starter coil (supplied by the customer). For 460V and 575V saws, the coil must be 115V. For 230V saws, the coil must be 230V. 4.3 Connect the Buster V Loin Drop handle plug to the brake / anti -tie down control box outlet. Approximately twenty feet of cord is provided. 5 Wire the motor. 5.1 Connect the twenty foot power cord provided from strain relief connector (item 11, page 9) to T1, T2 and T3 on the starter and earth ground. Refer to Figures 2 and 3 on pages 11 and 12 for pre -wired motor hook -up. For dual voltage (9 or 6 wire) motors, refer to Figure 4 on page 13. 5.1.1 Make sure that drive wheel (item 38, page 5) rotates counterclockwise. Model Buster V Loin Drop MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS Beef guiding rails are to be supplied by the customer. Adjustable 9--10 ft OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS 1 Turn on the power. 2 Each day, before you begin operation go through the following checklist: 2.1 Make sure that the Buster V Loin Drop moves freely on its balancer. 2.2 Make sure that the dual anti-tie down control handles (the top handles) are working correctly. Depress each trigger separately and the tool should not start. Depress one trigger, then pause one second and depress the other trigger and the tool should not start. Repeat this procedure reversing the triggers. Depress both triggers simultaneously (within one half second of each other) and the tool should start. With the tool running, release one trigger and the tool should stop. Continue holding the depressed trigger and then depress the other trigger. The tool should not start. Repeat this procedure holding the other trigger. If the tool malfunctions, remove it from service and report the problem to your supervisor immediately. 2.3 Make sure that all four DANGER CUTTING TOOL IN OPERATION signs are posted. 3 Making the cut: 3.1 There are two styles of cut: diamond and straight cut. Depress each trigger separately and the tool should not start. Depress one trigger, then pause one second and depress the other trigger and the tool should not start. Repeat this procedure reversing the triggers. Depress both triggers simultaneously (within one half second of each other) and the tool should start. Refer to the parts diagram on page 6 for referenced items. 1.2.1 Remove the set screws (item 20). 1.2.2 Slide the blade guide mounting plate (item 24) out of the guide housing (item 18). 1.2.3 Remove six (6) screws (items 26). 1.2.4 Rotate or replace the blade guides (item 25) as required. 1.2.5 Insert a 0.022 feeler gage between the blade guides. 1.2.6 Apply a light pressure to the outside of the blade guides. 1.2.7 Tighten the six (6) screws.

1.3 Clean and check the back -up blade guide. Refer to the parts diagram on page 6 for referenced items. 1.3.1 Remove screw (item 21). 1.3.2 Rotate or replace the back -up blade guide (item 22) as required. 1.3.3 Tighten the screw. 1.4 Check the rear drive wheel. Refer to the parts diagram on page 5 for referenced items. 1.4.1 Tighten locknut (item 37) to 80 lbf -ft. Jarvis wrench, part number 8039120 is available. 1.5 Check the front bearings. Refer to the parts diagram on page 4 for referenced items. 1.5.1 Grease the front wheel bearings through grease fitting (item 5) with USDA approved wheel bearing grease. 1.6 Check the oil in the gearbox. Refer to the parts diagram on page 6 for referenced items. 1.6.1 Check the level of oil in the gear housing (item 35). 1.6.2 Change the oil if these conditions exist: The oil contains water. The oil is dark or gritty. Any bearing is being replaced. 1.6.2.1 Push down on the idler end to drain oil. Lift up on the idler end to add oil. Add oil - SAE 80W - 90 EP hypoid gear lube - up to the center of the drain plug when the saw is horizontal. 1.7 Check the handle cord, plug and outlet. Refer to the parts diagram on pages 8 and 10. 1.7.1 Check the cord, plug and outlets for wear and replace if necessary. 2 WEEKLY: 2.1 Clean the torque knob. Refer to the parts diagram on page 6 for referenced items. 2.1.1 Remove the torque knob from the Buster V Loin Drop. 2.1.2 Remove screws (item 12). 2.1.3 Remove cover (item 11). 2.1.4 Turn the torque knob over. 2.1.5 Remove retaining ring (item 2). 2.1.6 Remove shaft (item 3) assembly. 2.1.7 Clean all grease out of the torque knob. maintenance instructions page 16 of 16 2.1.8 Turn the torque knob so that ball plungers (item 10) are visible. 2.1.9 Pour oil onto the ball plungers. 2.1.10 Work each ball plunger up and down with a wooden dowel to lubricate the springs. 2.1.11 Apply Jarvis 1315 White Grease to the ball plunger surface and to the bearing (item 9). 2.1.12 Install the shaft assembly. 2.1.13 Rotate the shaft assembly slightly until you can feel the balls fall into their holes. 2.1.14 Install the snap ring. 2.1.15 Tighten the torque knob to 60-65 lbf -in. Torque wrench nut adapter 8030054 and torque wrench 8039138 are available. 2.1.16 Install the cover. 2.1.17 Install the screws. 2.1.18 Install the torque knob back on the Buster V Loin Drop. 3 WHEN NECESSARY: 3.1 Replace the blade. Refer to the parts diagrams on pages 4-5 for referenced items. Items referenced with an a are from figure A on page 4. Items referenced with a b are from figure B on page 5. 3.1.1 Open doors (items 3a and 28b). 3.1.2 Loosen the blade torque knob (item 27a) by turning it fully counter -clockwise. 3.1.3 Swing the blade guides (items 29a and 46b) so that the bottoms of both guides face each other. 3.1.4 Install the blade (item 1023213) with teeth pointing downward, towards the ground. 3.1.4.1 The blade must be guided through the idler housing (item 19a) first, then through the drive housing (item 20b). 3.1.5 Tighten the blade torque knob until it clicks. 3.1.6 Twist the blade so that the teeth point outward; set the blade guides down over the blade. 3.1.7 Close the doors. 3.1.8 Tighten the blade torque knob after saw has run a few minutes. 3.2 Tighten the front wheel. Refer to the parts diagram on page 4 for referenced items. 3.2.1 Turn the front bearing locknut (item 6) clockwise until hand tight.
