Short introduction: Science festival OPEN SCIENCE DAYS OPEN SCIENCE DAYS is the biggest festival of science and knowledge in Montenegro, organized by the Ministry of Science in cooperation with its friends and partners, since 2011. The aim of the festival is raising awareness about the importance of science and knowledge, especially for the generations to come, for their better future and thus the overall social and economic progress of the state. Open Science Days 2013 took place in Podgorica from 23-27 September. The main goal of the festival is to motivate young people in Montenegro, through number of events like Knowledge Factory, Researchers night, but also true the exhibitions such as Planetarium, Math Exhibition and various other exhibitions, lectures, workshops, performances, and to show to them that knowledge is most valuable asset that can be achieved, the capital that they no one can ever take away from them, a safe bet for the future and always profitable investment.
OPEN SCIENCE DAYS The festival is in addition to being largely devoted to young people, but also significantly focused on the scientific community, where this is always a great opportunity for Montenegrin scientist to hear opinions from the side, exchange experiences with colleagues from the region and abroad and open up possibilities for future cooperation, which gave a significant results in the previous two years. The desire of the Ministry of Science and festival partners is to make young people realize that nothing prevents them from create products and work on projects from Montenegro that may be better than any product or project that placed their peer from America, England, Holland, China, Japan, India, as a well-known adage says: HOW MUCH YOU ASK THAT MUCH KNOWLEDGE BELONGS TO YOU, no matter where you were born and how advanced your country is! This rule now, thanks to information technology, applies more than ever. The slogan of the Open Science Days 2013 is THE FUTURE FULL SPEED AHEAD, and our only ticket for the train of the future is the creation of a KNOWLEDGE SOCIETY.

In the interactive era, knowledge truly knows no bounds. However, that technology in the right way has become an integral part of the educational process, it is necessary to invest a lot of effort to get closer to both pupils and teachers. This is the basic idea of the "Knowledge Factory", which we gave to montenegrin studens for the third year in a row. This year teachers were the best examples of good practice in the country and the region, young and successful people who are due to the placement of their original ideas and creativity has been recognized on the global map and now its video games are exported to America and India, they are owners of the most successful start-up companies in Europe, working on visual effects in Hollywood, Creative lab Google in Los Angeles, the programming and design for the world's biggest brands, such as Siemens, Prada, the Lamborghini's, and there are close to us, or have grown up with us. September 2013 - University of Montenegro In collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Podgorica, the Ministry of Science, this year hosted expert team of scientists of the National Science Council of Italy. CNR is the most influential science institution in Italy, with more than 10 000 researchers. This year, Montenegrin and Italian scientists, together with our guest from Canada, Spain and Germany had an opportunity to exchange their opinions in the expert panels and workshops on the theme of Mediterranean agriculture, energy, transport, ICT, marine biology and cultural heritage. Researcher s night 27. september 2013 (Atlas Capital Center) Researchers night for the fifth time in Montenegro and third time as part of Open Science Days is final day of our festival. Organizers: PRONA (Fondation for the promotion of Science), Ministry of Science and Natural History Museum Program: Experiments, workshops, performances, quiziz, lectures and concert, as gift for all young people to get some extra fun with music stars that they like.
