Social Studies Question 1: Collect pictures of some sacred and ceremonial trees such as (Peepal, Banyan, Ashoka, Coconut, Mango, Neem, and Sandalwood etc) paste these pictures in scrapbook and prepare a brief write up according to the pictures (as where they are found? What are their benefits? Decorate your scrapbook in an attractive way. Material required: Scrap book, pictures of different trees, sketch pens, decorative tapes for borders. MATHEMATICS Activity 1: Symmetry (compulsory) Take 10 different leaves, cut them along their line of symmetry. Dry them and paste them on A4 size pastel sheets. Also write the name of the tree from which the leaf had been taken. Materials Required: A-4 size pastel sheets, 10 different leaves, scissors, adhesive,markers. Activity 2: Perimeter (Roll no. 1 to 20) Take leaves of 5 different trees. Measure their perimeter using thread or wool. Paste the leaves on pastel sheet and write their perimeter in centimetres. Materials Required:Thread or wool, A-4 size pastel sheets, 5 different leaves, adhesive, scissors, ruler, markers and sketch pens. Activity 3: Area (Roll no. 21 to 35) Take leaves of 4 different trees and trace their boundary on graph sheet. Estimate the area by counting squares ( one square cm for each square half covered or more AND zero foreach square which is covered less than half). On the graph sheet write the area of leaf and paste all leaves on separate pastel sheet. Club the graph sheets and pastel sheet in a folder Materials Required: Graph sheets, pastel sheet, pencil, adhesive, hand made folder or file, Pencils colours, markers.
