Fow Compact Magnetic-Inductive Fowmeter for conductivity iquids Mode MIK Description The new KOBOLD fowmeter Type MIK is used for measuring and monitoring smaer and medium-sized fow of conductivity iquids in pipes. The device operates according to the magnetic induction measurement principe. According to Faraday s Law of magnetic induction a votage is induced in a conductor moving through a magnetic fied. The eectricay conductive measuring agent acts as the moved conductor. The votage induced in the measuring agent is proportiona to the fow veocity and is therefore a vaue for the voumetric fow. The fowing media must have a minimum conductivity. The induced votage is picked up by two sensing eectrodes which are in contact with the measuring agent and sent to the measuring ampifier. The fow rate wi be cacuated based on the cross sectiona area of the pipe. The measurement is not depending on the process iquid and its materia properties such as density, viscosity and temperature. The device may be equipped with a switch, frequency or anaogue. Moreover, there is a compact eectronic system to be seected from, which contains a switch and an anaogue. The device series is competed by an optionay obtainabe dosing and counter eectronic system. The counter eectronics system shows the current fow rate on the first ine of the dispay and shows the partia or overa voume on the second ine. A dosing eectronic system contros simpe fiing duties and aso measures the fow rate, overa voume and fiing voume. The anaogue and two reay s can be utiised for the further processing of signas.
