1. General 1.1. Description and advantages The multipoint lock is provided with top and bottom lock with an upward hook bolt and 2 security pins so that your doors are more secure against forced entry. Maximum reliability by means of: an improved latch bolt mechanism an improved handle mechanism not disengageable gear wheels: that s why the lock can not be forced during the working activities on the building site. The 3 hook bolts are pivoting, rather than sliding. They are therefore longer than conventional bolts, so there is the same proportion of the dead bolt within the lockcase as is engaged into the frame, making it extremely difficult for burglars to force entry by means of a crowbar. The hook bolts ensure security in horizontal direction, the pins in vertical direction. The upward hook bolts also serve as anti-lift security. The lock has special tapered top and bottom dead bolts which pull the vent section against the frame when locking the door, to provide an effective weather seal. Also a slightly deformed door (for example due to extreme weather conditions) can be closed without having to force the key. Centre lock Two holes above and below the handle opening allow the door handles to be screwed to each other through the lock, so there are no screws visible from the outside. The lock can be used left hand and right hand simply by turning the latch bolt. The latch bolt can be operated by the door handle as well as by the key. The lock is supplied with the standard latch bolt. The latch bolt is easily replaceable after installation with an easy operation. This is a very big advantage as you have to keep only 1 lock in stock. The other latch bolt types can be ordered separately. Locking and unlocking by a single turn of 360 with the cylinder key. Small turn moment when operating the latch bolt and when locking and unlocking the dead bolts. The vertical clearance (4 mm above and 6 mm below) between dead bolts and lock keeps should be sufficient in order to avoid the following problems: dropping of the door wrong vertical installation of the keep and/or lock K11.11.03

1.2. Technical characteristics The lock is available in 3 lengths: Short version (K): 1895 mm Standard version: 2170 mm Long version (L): 2470 mm Vent height: With short lock: 1825-2100 mm With standard lock: 2100-2500 mm With long lock: 2500-2900 mm Available in 3 backsets: 30 mm 35 mm 40 mm Faceplates: Flat faceplate: 16 mm, 20 mm and 24 mm U-shaped faceplate: 22x6.5 mm, 22x8,5 mm, 24x5 mm and 24x6.5 mm Very narrow lock: lockcase width = 15.5 mm. Top and bottom lock The latch bolt is available in 5 different versions: standard latch bolt extended latch bolt narrow latch bolt roller bolt cover plate (lock with only dead bolt) Note: we recommend to use an extended latch bolt when the distance between faceplate and keep is 6 mm or more, especially when electric strikes are used. The lock is entirely made of non-corroding materials: faceplate: stainless steel AISI 304 (austenitic) lockcases: zinc alloy, black passivated latch bolt: zinc alloy nickel plated dead bolts: zinc alloy nickel plated pins: stainless steel AISI 303 (austenitic) The locks have been tested by SKG in the Netherlands. Two stars are awarded to the locks in accordance with the star rating indicated in the KOMO certificate of SKG. The locks are tested in accordance with the European standard EN 12209:2003/AC:2005 and obtained the following classification code: Category of use Durability Door mass Fire resistance Safety Corrosion resistance Security Door application Type of key operation Type of spindle Key identification 3 X 7 0 0 G 2 B A 2 0 K11.11.04

10. Electric door opener 10.1. General characteristics Small electric strike incorporating a spacesaving locking flap, especially developed for installation in aluminium doors. The flap rotates back within the keep when operated. Big advantage: the cut-out is much smaller making the installation aesthetically pleasing. Break-in resistance of strike: 3750 N. Width adjustment of the locking flap: 3 mm. Current consumption: Alternating current (AC): 250 ma at 12V Direct current (DC): 280 ma at 12V The electric strikes are non-handed. Mechanical release Reset button Electrical (type 788) connection Release button Electrical connection Reset button Quick and simple electrical connection. Adjustment range The reset button is only possible for type 128 where the strike is held in the release position until the door has been opened. This button resets the electric strike when the door opens. The release button (type 788) allows to suspend temporarily the automatic locking upon closing the door. Only available for type 118 and 128. K11.11.17

10.2. Installation on faceplate For both short as long keeps. In order to be able to use an electric strike, a keep with latch plate must be used. Method: Remove the latch plate. K11.11.18

10.4. Types and function Type 118 The door is only unlocked when you push a button. After releasing the button the door is locked again. This type works on 10-24V AC/DC and may be permanently connected to electrical supply up to 12V. Note: when the door is pushed open by the gaskets, the door can still be open after releasing the button. This can be solved by mounting a door closer on the door. Electric strike This type is available with release button (type 788). The release button allows to suspend temporarily the automatic locking upon closing the door. Door Operation Type 128 On releasing the electric strike, for example, from a button on an intercom system, the strike is held in the release position until the door has been opened. The electric strike resets when the door opens. This means there is no need to rush through the door. This type works on 10-24V AC/DC and may be permanently connected to electrical supply up to 12V. This type is available with release button (type 788). The release button allows to suspend temporarily the automatic locking upon closing the door. Electric strike Door Operation Type 138 This type works on 12V DC or 24V DC and may be permanently connected to electrical current. The electric strike is mainly used in combination with an alarm system. This means that for example in case of a power failure the door can be opened. Electric strike Door Operation K11.11.19
