About Collaborative Painting UK Collaborative Painting UK was set up by Luke Palmer in 2017 following fifteen years working in the youth education and engagement sector. He realised that many of the creative activities and arts workshops he facilitated could also be used to benefit a wider audience as interactive, experimental and fun self-development opportunities for professionals. Collaborative Painting UK is fully inclusive and accessible to people of all abilities. My aim is to make it available to everyone so more people can benefit from the magic of the process of being creative together. Luke Palmer, Director - Collaborative Painting UK
History The process of Collaborative Painting was first developed in Tunisia in the 1980 s before moving to the USA when American artist and Broadway producer David Black discovered it in Tunis and began teaching it at the Arts Students League of New York. When Luke contacted David Black to find out more about the new art form, they became friends and Luke has continued to use the method as a way to engage audiences, connect people and create collaborative artworks ever since. Every painting that uses the Collaborative Painting process ends up looking like the work of a single artist - further proof of our common humanity and that anyone can be an artist. David Black, Artist and veteran Broadway Producer
Collaborative Painting UK has worked with a wide range of clients including:
