Collaborative Painting UK workshops use the power of creativity to connect people and create unimaginable, unique works of art... Dan Grzonka, Brond Brand Design

About Collaborative Painting UK Collaborative Painting UK was set up by Luke Palmer in 2017 following fifteen years working in the youth education and engagement sector. He realised that many of the creative activities and arts workshops he facilitated could also be used to benefit a wider audience as interactive, experimental and fun self-development opportunities for professionals. Collaborative Painting UK is fully inclusive and accessible to people of all abilities. My aim is to make it available to everyone so more people can benefit from the magic of the process of being creative together. Luke Palmer, Director - Collaborative Painting UK

History The process of Collaborative Painting was first developed in Tunisia in the 1980 s before moving to the USA when American artist and Broadway producer David Black discovered it in Tunis and began teaching it at the Arts Students League of New York. When Luke contacted David Black to find out more about the new art form, they became friends and Luke has continued to use the method as a way to engage audiences, connect people and create collaborative artworks ever since. Every painting that uses the Collaborative Painting process ends up looking like the work of a single artist - further proof of our common humanity and that anyone can be an artist. David Black, Artist and veteran Broadway Producer

Collaborative Painting UK has worked with a wide range of clients including:

Purpose Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up. Pablo Picasso We believe that everyone has an inner artist and that we should all experience the fun of making and expressing ourselves creatively. Our mission is to provide opportunities and experiences that nurture and unlock creativity for both individuals and teams, develop group communication skills, build trust between participants and celebrate shared experience and achievement. Engagement with creative arts has a direct positive impact on employee productivity and well being Art reduces stress, increases creativity and encourages employees to express opinion more freely The display of artwork in the workplace helps to transform offices into a pleasant and inspiring environment

Collaborative Painting - Process Introduction and motivation speech from Luke Palmer/video message from David Black Large group is split at random into smaller groups of 4-5 One person in each group is appointed to start the painting Anyone else in the group can then join in Anyone can paint over anyone else s work The painting process is done in complete silence The painting session will last for a maximum of 2 hours Collaborative Painting workshops are followed by an evaluation session (30-60 mins) and can be tailored towards identifying relationships between the Collaborative Painting experience and your business objectives and vision.

Collaborative Painting - Benefits Unlock creativity and bring your team together Collaborative Painting is fully inclusive and accessible to all people No prior arts experience is needed Experience a therapeutic approach to team building and employee engagement Remove hierarchy and explore more effective ways to communicate Improve creative thinking, motivate and inspire your team Celebrate shared experience and achievement Collaborative painting sessions can be facilitated in house or at an external venue.
