Hello again! It's Owen Coleman here and I hope you've had a great time experimenting with the various mind exercises that I've taught you so far. Every video is exquisitely tailored to help you align your heart's desires to your reality. I'm sure you'll find that by now some of your new practices have started to show results, like people suddenly being nicer to you, or you've come into some extra cash to save or spend from a random source. That's what being rewarded by the Universe feels like. It's no wonder that people who've mastered the art of abundance with Reiki always have a smile on their face every time I run into them. It must be difficult to stop smiling when the Universe is treating you so well, you see. Now, welcome to Video 4 of our Module 2 series, in which we will discuss how you can develop a thankful heart by practicing gratitude in your life. Realize that what you desire in your heart is already yours to begin with. It simply has not had time to manifest as of yet in your material reality. When you focus on what you do have and for what you are going to have in the future and express gratitude for it, you will continue to remain in the have state. A thankful heart is an open heart after all and will always be open to receiving the positive energy the Universe throws back. So if you think of lack, you will always be on the receiving end of lack. However, if you always keep your mind on abundance, you will almost always receive abundance. In order to be in gratitude, you have to realize that separation is an illusion and that all is one. If you are grateful most of the time for the things you have, it will chip away at this illusion since it will divert your attention from your ego or self. If you are constantly the centre of your universe, you will always identify with the experiences that flow through it. That includes being grateful for what others do for you. Saying thank you will focus your attention from your ego, from your personal needs and include another.
If you are in the habit of taking credit, this will be a challenge at first. The satisfaction you get when your efforts are acknowledged or you are praised only feeds your ego and when things do not go as you expected, you get annoyed. By saying thank you to the people who channel abundance to you, you can channel more of the same for yourself and for others as well. Be in the habit of saying thank you for whatever comes to you. When you practice gratitude in your life, the sense of wonder you used to feel as a child will return to you. Combined with the responsibility of an adult, this sense of awe will keep you casually joyful which will remain unshakeable irrespective of what life throws at you. Many people claim that they would be optimistic if only they were young and healthy enough and that it is very difficult to look at the bright side of things when you are old and sick. However, that line of thinking is the fastest way to attract lack in your life and keep abundance away. Plus using your age or health as an excuse will only deter improvement and recovery. Most people are not aware of how powerful their thoughts are. They do not realize that as they continue to look for things to complain about, they are sabotaging their own physical and spiritual well-being. Many do not realize that before they were complaining about all of those things, they had beef with others first. It does not matter whether they were annoyed with someone who betrayed them or disappointed with someone s behavior. Complaining is complaining and it will always prevent recovery. So whether you want to recover from an ailing body or want to maintain a good state of well-being, the process will remain the same remain grateful to attract abundance. You have to guide your thoughts in positive directions and then only will you be able to become vibrationally aligned with abundance. As you continue on that path, things that you knew long before you were born will become second nature and empower you to greater heights of success. Then all you have to do to achieve a body that feels good is to divert your attention deliberately to other thoughts and feelings.
This will lead to sincere desires that will only feel good. People move from one job to the next and from employer to employer in the mistaken belief that they are moving on to better things. Only to find out that things are not better off there either. The reason for this misconception is simple; they take their ego everywhere they go. These people are the ones that keep complaining about what was wrong with their old position in order to justify why they switched professions. That is the best way to prevent good things from coming to you. The same resistance to abundance follows you in the new place and you are no better off since the things that are meant for you never arrive. The best way to improve your current work environment is to be grateful for it. I know what you are thinking. How can I be grateful for something that is not bringing me happiness? Well, the reason why you are not happy with your current state is because you are focusing on only the bad and giving no time to the good aspects. The best way to love your current profession is to focus on all of the best things about it until you fill your own vibrational thoughts with positive energy from the Universe. In other words, appreciate what you do and you will attract new and improved circumstances to come into your experience. Some worry that if they only try to look for good things about the state they are in currently, it will only prevent them from making progress. That is the opposite of what will happen! Once you start to appreciate what you have in life, you will lift all self-imposed limitations from yourself and free yourself to receive all the wonderful things that are meant for you courtesy of the Universe. The vibration you will feel after attaining true love like this or being in love with where you are now is identical to the ones you receive when you look at an innocent child and feel its beauty. Appreciation and love have identical vibrations since they perfectly align with who you are. Remember what we discussed about the absence of things? Appreciation is the absence of resistance since it does away with fear and doubt.
It is the ultimate absence of self denial or hatred towards others. Appreciation is the absence of everything that feels bad to you and the manifestation of everything good that is coming your way. So when you focus upon what you want rather than what you think you want, you are closer to a more fulfilling life than most people in your position. When you deliberately focus on what you want and tell the story of how you want your life to be like, the experience will pull you towards all things that you consider good. There is a difference between gratitude and appreciation though. Many of you might use these two terms interchangeably but the fact is that they do not have the same vibrational frequency. When you feel grateful for instance, you are looking back at all you went through and the challenges you overcame to be who you are currently. You are happy that you are not in the struggle anymore but you still feel as if you are struggling. The difference between inspiration and motivation also shares similar differences. In the former, you are being called to who you are and in the latter, you are trying to make yourself go somewhere. You start to appreciate things when it is in vibrational alignment with who you have become. In that state you see everything through the eyes of the source. When you are in that state you can walk with a ton of other people down a crowded boulevard and find no reason to criticize or belittle anyone or anything. That s because you will not have access to that negative energy and your new vibrational frequency of appreciation will deliberately be picking out things for you that are of a different nature than what you are used to. A state of appreciation is basically who you were always meant to be from the moment you are born and till the day you die. In order to attract more of this you need to stop focusing on the lack in your life like other do and be grateful for who you are and what you have achieved. When you practice gratitude in your life the sense of wonderment you had as a child will come back to you. This will imbue a sense of casual joy as we discussed before and you can safely dabble in new things such as a new job or new relationship better in an enlightened way.
When you are hopeful, you are in the realm of appreciation and once you acquire that state, start making a list of things that make you feel good. You might think you have nothing to write about but you will be pleasantly surprised when those pages start to fill up. To help yourself, write about the things you love to do the most such as visiting your favorite restaurant or looking for a new book in your favorite bookstore. This time, the mind exercise is a little different. I want you to go out and practice this in your daily life, starting now. Whatever you do, do not complain about anything. Give your undivided attention to the list you made of things you love to do, and use it as a feel good checklist that you can whip out each time you feel your ego stir negatively. Even if there is only a couple of things in that list that you genuinely like, give them your complete attention and use them to be who you are. Once you are able to do that you will tune in to who you are and the whole world will transform in front of your eyes instantly. That is the state where there is no perception of lack. And that is the best state your mind can be in to allow abundance to flow into your life.
