STEP 1 FIND THE LAYOUT FOR THE TOILET PARTITIONS Per the layout sheets; find the center line for the division panels on the wall; mark plumb and scribe. To maintain a level with any slope in the floor measure to 78 '' (1980mm) from the floor at opposite ends of the layout. Pull a line and mark at the top of all centerlines (see illustration 1-A). Combat Channel and Division Panel are Flush at Top 78'' (1980mm) 72'' (1830mm) Scribe at the Top of Each CL 78'' (1980mm) 6'' Floor Clearance (150mm) from Bottom of Division Panel 1-A STEP 2 INSTALL COMBAT WALL CHANNEL Combat wall channels (pre-drilled) are installed on center line. The top is flush at the 78'' (1980mm) mark (see illustration 2-A). Note: Wainscotting of tiled wall: Install filler strips above wainscotting or tile as required. 2-A Finished Face of Floor 78'' (1980mm) Form No. 1350-69 (Rev. 9/99) 1999 Bobrick Washroom Equipment Inc. STEP 3 INSTALL DIVISION PANELS Note: For ease of installation feet are preset at 5-1/2'' (140mm). Adjust height in Step 5. Place a panel foot on line with combat channel 12'' (305mm) from the front edge of the division panel. Place a foot bracket firmly to the bottom of the division panel 12'' (305mm) on center from the outside edge. (see illustration 3-A). Do not drill out panel foot bracket until Step 11. Place foot bracket pin into top of foot. Slide panel back into combat channel and back off 1/8'' (3.17mm). Drill out center 23/64'' hole and install hex nut assembly into center hole in combat channel. Division panels are now held in place and allow plumb and level tolerance as makeup panels are attached to the front outside edge. Note: If installation does not require makeup panels as shown in illustration 3-B go to Step 5. It is very important to hold the foot cap firmly when tightening down the lock nut (see illustration 9-C) in order to maintain the gravity hinge alignment. Use a #17 or 11/16''mm open end wrench. Make sure to tighten down setscrews in lock nut (see illustration 9-C) on door foot. Use a 5/64'' (2.5mm) allen wrench. Note: To prevent carpet unravel cut around foot pilot holes with utility knife prior to drilling. Closed door should rest evenly against top and bottom closing post bumpers. After door foot is fastened to the floor set gravity hinge so that the door stays open at desired position. Try to lift the door up and out. If door comes off the door foot needs to be raised. 10-A STEP 11 THRU-BOLT DIVISION OR MAKEUP PANELS AND PANEL FOOT BRACKETS Drill remaining 23/64'' holes in division or makeup panels and install hex nut assembly.
