The Yarkin Group Meet the Professionals Meet the professionals Allan Yarkin is a Managing Director Wealth Management and Family Wealth Director of the Private Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. He is the founding member and leading director for The Yarkin Group and the Florida Corporate Services Group located in Aventura, Florida. Allan Yarkin Managing Director Wealth Management Family Wealth Director Mr. Yarkin has successfully completed the stringent requirements to become a Family Wealth Director for our private wealth services group and is a member of Director s Council, a group that consists of the top 5% of financial advisors within the firm. He has more than three decades of experience developing customized wealth and investment strategies for affluent families, business owners and corporate executives. Mr. Yarkin has been nationally ranked by Barron s Magazine as one of the top 100 advisors* in the country. He has extensive knowledge in the area of restricted securities, liability planning, estate planning strategies and investment consulting. Mr. Yarkin and his team employ a disciplined approach to asset allocation, with an emphasis on the preservation of capital accompanied by tailored investment strategies for each client. Mr. Yarkin graduated from the University of California with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Upon graduation he began his career in financial services with Dean Witter Reynolds in his hometown of San Francisco. Upon his move to Florida in 1978, he transferred to Loeb Rhodes, a predecessor firm of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Mr. Yarkin is active in numerous Florida charitable organizations and is married with two children. 10

Hank Boyce is a Senior Vice President Wealth Management and a Portfolio Manager for the Florida Corporate Services Group and The Yarkin Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. He is a member of the firm s Portfolio Advisory Program and has attained the internal designation, Financial Planning Specialist. Hank Boyce, CFA Senior Vice President Wealth Management Portfolio Manager Financial Planning Specialist Mr. Boyce has more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry. His main area of concentration is portfolio construction, where he focuses on structuring the optimal portfolios with the least amount of risk in order to help meet the client s investment objectives. Mr. Boyce graduated from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. He also received an M.B.A. in Finance from Stetson University. He served as the Supervisor of Treasury Issues at the Federal Reserve Bank of Miami prior to joining The Yarkin Group. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a past president of the Miami Society of Financial Analysts. He is a founding member and current Vice President of Becca s Closet, a charitable organization created as a legacy to Rebecca Kirtman. Becca s Closet provides formal attire to high school students who otherwise would not be able to attend their prom or homecoming. Mr. Boyce is married and has two children. The Yarkin Group Meet the Professionals Melissa Missy Fierman Group Administrator Melissa Missy Fierman is a Group Administrator for the Florida Corporate Services Group and The Yarkin Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Mrs. Fierman has been with the firm since 1985 and is responsible for overseeing the entire operational and administrative staff for the team. One of Mrs. Fierman s roles is to ensure that each client receives the highest caliber of support and personalized services. In addition to Mrs. Fierman s role as Group Administrator, she is also responsible for fixed income trading and specializes in the review and selection of investment management firms. She also assists with the development of tactical asset allocation recommendations that are appropriate for each client s investment strategy. Mrs. Fierman graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. She is a past member of Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity. Mrs. Fierman is married with two children. 12

Kevin Dowd is a Financial Advisor with the Florida Corporate Services Group and The Yarkin Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. He is a member of the firm s prestigious Blue Chip Council. Kevin Dowd Second Vice President Financial Advisor Mr. Dowd focuses on providing insurance recommendations for clients of the team and has extensive experience developing insurance strategies for sophisticated estate planning purposes. He is also responsible for equity trading and assists with the development of tactical asset allocation recommendations that are appropriate for each client s investment strategy. He began his career in financial services as a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch before joining The Dreyfus Corporation as a senior advisor. Laura Raybin Miller Financial Advisor Laura joined The Yarkin Group from Bernstein Global Wealth Management where she was Vice President. Prior to joining Bernstein, she was Executive Director for State of Israel Bonds in Miami, where she worked closely advising a highly select group of families and institutions. She was responsible for developing strategies designed to help preserve and enhance wealth through the effective use of trusts, foundations, endowments and retirement plans. Due to her deep commitment to the community, Laura was chosen in 2000 as an appointee by the Governor of the State of Florida to serve as Commissioner of the South Broward Hospital District. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida International University. She is the proud mother of a son who shares his mother s desire for community service and is a fireman and paramedic. 14
