1 Center hole to center hole + Template & Tape Measure Step 1: Measure to and place template at new core center. Use template to mark anchor holes and pin hole(s). 2 + Tape Measure Step 2: Measure distance between the pin hole and your newly marked pin mark. Cutting Extrusions to Length Page 2 of 6
3 Flange Hole Extrusion Cut Line 2 1/8in [54mm] + Tape Measure Step 3: On bottom rail extrusion, measure & mark new pin hole using dimension from Step 2. Mark new extrusion cut length at 2-1/8 [54mm] offset from pin hole mark. 4 + Drill with 1 Step Bit Step 4: Drill new Pin hole through bottom rail extrusion using a 1 step bit. 5 + Saw Step 5: Cut extrusion on new cut line. 6 TOP VIEW Measure Pin Center to Pin Center SIDE VIEW Step 6: Once custom-length bottom rail and both posts are installed, measure between pin centers. Cutting Extrusions to Length Page 4 of 6
7 Pin Hole Extrusion Cut Line 1.50in [38mm] + Tape Measure & Marker Step 7: On top rail extrusion, measure and mark new pin hole using dimension from step 6. Mark your new cutting line at 1.5 [38mm] offset from the new Pin hole mark. Mark on both top and bottom of extrusion. 8 + Drill with Step Bit Step 8: Drill through top and bottom wall of extrusion using a 1 step bit. Cutting Extrusions to Length Page 5 of 6
