Keep these instructions in a safe place Before using your XD-V70 Wireless Receiver, carefully read the applicable items of these operating instructions and the safety suggestions. 1. Obey all warnings in the XD-V70 manual. 2. Do not perform service operations beyond those described in the XD-V70 Manual. Service is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as: liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus the unit has been exposed to rain or moisture the unit does not operate normally or changes in performance in a significant way the unit is dropped or the enclosure is damaged 3. Do not place near heat sources, such as radiators, heat registers, or appliances which produce heat. 4. Guard against objects or liquids entering the device. Do not use or place unit near water. 5. Do not step on cords. Do not place items on top of cords so that they are pinched or leaned on. Pay particular attention to the cord at the plug end and the point where it connects to the device. 6. 1. Antenna A & B Input Connectors (BNC) Connect the receiver antennas here. 2. Antenna A & B Output Connectors (BNC) Use the connectors to daisy chain multiple XD-V70 receivers. Be sure each additional receiver and its transmitter are set to a different channel. Note: When not connected to an additional receiver, connectors must be terminated with the supplied termination plugs. 3. Main Out Use the 1/4 inch output when connecting to an amplifier or effects pedals. Use the balanced XLR output when connecting to studio grade equipment that supports balanced XLR connections such as mixing consoles. 4. 9VDC IN Connect the included 9VDC power supply, orienting the jack so that the cable is pointing upward. Hook the cable to the cable holder to prevent accidental disconnection. 5. Transmitter Status Display Audio Green LEDs will light indicating the audio signal level. Battery All five battery LEDs will be lit to indicate full battery life. The bottom LED will change to red once your battery life falls below two hours and flash red when it falls below one hour. RF When transmitter is on and has the same channel set as the receiver, these LEDs light green to indicate signal strength/quality: from 5 Green = Data excellent, interference low to 1 Green meaning Data minimal, may have significant interference. When transmitter is off, or set to a different channel than receiver these LEDs show as follows: No LED = No data, no interference. 1 Red = No data, some interference up to 5 Red = No data, high interference. Mute Lit LED indicates muted transmitter. 6. Display In Main Mode your display will appear similar to the illustration below. CH 1:THH12 8:00 MIC CHAN 1 through CHAN 12 will be displayed at the top depending on the current channel your XD-V70 is set to receive on followed by the transmitter s name the XD-V70 is receiving from (blank for instrument transmitter and MIC for microphone transmitter). NO TRANS is displayed when a transmitter is not detected. The LOCK icon appears when the transmitter is set to lockout mode. The numeric clock at the bottom left of LCD displays the transmitters amount of remaining operation time of batteries at current power level in hours and minutes. It updates in 20 minute increments. The bars to each side of B & A represent the signal strength of each antenna. The BATTERY icon is lit solid when battery life is 1 hour or more. It flashes on and off when battery life is less than one hour. RF icon appears in place of BATTERY icon when no transmitter is detected. 7. Edit (Push To Set) Knob Rotate this knob to scroll through menu options. Press the Edit Knob while the desired option is highlighted in the LCD to select it for editing. Rotate the Edit Knob to change the option then press the Edit Knob to save the change. 8. Setup Button Press Setup Button to access the setup options. Rotate the Edit Knob to move through the list. Press Exit to leave Setup. 9. Power Switch Flip this switch to turn your XD-V70 receiver on or off.

LCD Setup Pages Channel Select CHANNEL: [ 6] FIND OPEN CHAN Channel Select is used to select a channel of operation. Press Setup button then with arrow pointing to CHANNEL, press the Edit Knob to select a channel of operation. Rotate the Edit Knob to scroll through channels. This is a preview only and the channel change will occur only when the Edit Knob is pressed to save the selection. Find Open Channel Mode The new value is previewed during selection but not saved until Edit Knob is pressed. Press the Exit Button before the value is saved to return to the Main Screen and abandon any change. T X T X T X The Find Open Channel Mode is used to search for other Line 6 transmitters in use before a channel selection is made. To enter from the setup page press the Setup Button and rotate the Edit Knob to select FIND OPEN CHAN then press the Edit Knob. When RF environment scan is performed the available channels will appear without TX above them. Channels with TX above indicates the channels that Line 6 transmitters are currently using. Rotate Edit Knob to select an available channel then press Edit Knob to save channel change and return to Main Screen Environment Filter FIND OPEN CHAN ENVIRON:[NORM] ENVIRON is used to set the dynamic environment filter. You can edit this parameter only when a handheld microphone is in use. The OFF selection turns the filtering off. The NORM is recommended for handheld vocal/musical applications. The TALK selection is recommended when the handheld mic is used for speech.
