Each board is made from a single piece of timber, usually with a tongue and groove joint, on the ends as well as the long sides. Wood is a natural product and is susceptible to dimensional changes due to moisture and humidity we would suggest each installation needs to be professionally assessed and the floor acclimatised before installation commences. We recommend that all of these floors are fitted by an experienced floor layer. Real wood flooring created for today s demands. Engineered flooring consists of layers of real timber running at 90 degree angles to each other, thereby increasing the stability of the overall product. Identical to solid in it s appearance, it is used in areas where solids may not be suitable, such as conservatories or in areas with underfloor heating. These floors offer added stability and a greater variety of design. We recommend that all of these floors are fitted by an experienced floor layer.
Grades Prime Rustic A Love Floors TM range of floors are created to suit a wide variety of domestic and commercial applications. Our grading structure allows you to make the right choice for your environment. A specially selected clean grade with small sound knots showing minimal colour variation. These boards are taken from the centre of the tree and have a flowing grain and texture. Natur A vibrant floor with some colour variation, small sound / filled knots, some sapwood. A floor with more character and grain variation. Contains a small percentage of Rustic A Grade. This grade shows a greater range of character than Natur and displays more variation in grain and colour. Larger sound / filled knots, sapwood and small filled cracks add to the depth and texture of this product. Rustic B A grade that allows for larger sound knots, colour variation, filled cracks and some dark streaks. Perfect for the appearance of a beautiful natural floor. Finishes Unfinished Natural Oil Protective layers of oil / UV oil or UV lacquers provide a beautiful, long lasting finish, perfectly suited to today s environment. Attention to detail counts and our ranges benefit from the most modern and technically thorough processes available. Becoming very popular as the range of colours and stains increase. Supplied in its natural form, a great opportunity to stamp your own mark on the Love Floors TM range. UV Oil Each coating is cured under UV light, creating a slight satin sheen and a tougher surface finish. This product will not need any oiling on installation. The most natural coating for wood flooring, the oil deepens the natural colour of the wood, creating a beautiful matt sheen to the surface, which is then left to cure naturally. UV Lacquered UV satin and matt lacquered finishes provide a smooth hard wearing surface, enhancing the natural beauty of the floor, providing a rich and warm appearance. Stained Stain is applied to the surface of the product by hand or machine and then buffed in, penetrating deep into the wood. The surface is then sealed with either an oil or lacquer. Smoked The timber is stored in a drying room and smoked for up to 3 days. During this time the wood colour deepens and creates a dark rich finish penetrating deep into the wood. Surfaces Hand Scraped Brushed Choosing the right surface will add character and style to any interior. From the sleek and precise machine sanded board through to the tactile hand scraped finish, Love Floors TM ranges provide a real difference to your flooring design. Using traditional methods the board surface is carefully tool scraped following the natural contours of the wood. The result is a gently undulating, smooth surface. A steel brush is used to remove the soft grain from the top layer, creating a textured surface. This process enhances the natural grain and beauty of the wood. Machined Producing a smooth to the touch finish, our products represent the very best in quality sanded floors.
Wessex Grade: Finish Surfaces: Rustic A Prime Natural Oil Cathedral Stain Toffee Stain UV Lacquered Unfinished Smoked Brushed Machined A European engineered range offering a great selection of lengths, widths and finishes. This product is FSC Certified Wessex is further complimented by being available in a variety of stains and finishes. The board boasts a 6mm wear layer and a 100% Birch plywood core, making it suitable for use in conjunction with most underfloor heating systems. 1 year Manufacturers Warranty. Solid / Engineered Artisan Bastle Vestry Manse Barley Parquet Tiger Oak Plain sawn boards laid, smoothed, oiled and polished in situ. Great barn conversion floor. Undestroyable. The rougher you are the better it gets. Heavily textured along the length of the grain which, surprisingly, fetches out a mass of variation in the natural tones of the timber. Not our first choice in a kitchen for instance, but would feel great underfoot in a bedroom or living area. An unusual combination of oils with softened edges highlighting any surface fixings used to secure the board. Looks good in very random widths, finished with hand made rosehead nails. Another variation of an oiled floor. By manipulating the oils in a particular way, the difference in the early and late wood is enhanced. Ideal if you need a light coloured but warm looking floor. Parquet comes in a wide variety of designs and is viewed in buildings from traditional school halls to French chateaux. This pattern shows Hungarian point, a great feature in any property. Brown and Tiger oak is a natural variation of the regular variety. It occurs in a small proportion of logs which are selected out and gathered up over time. The wild variations in grain and colour are not something you expect in a European hardwood. This is as exotic as any tropical timber, perfect for a contemporary property.
