1 PHOTO FRAME 1

1 PHOTO FRAME Materials: - Scissors - Colored yarn - Ruler - Double sided tape - 2 Cardboard sheets and 1 transparent plastic sheet (13 x 21 cm) Frame 1: To create a frame, take one of the two cardboard sheets and draw an internal rectangle (8x16 cm) in the center, using a ruler. 1 2

Frame 2: 2 Then, cut it off. Frame 3: Cover the frame surface with double sided tape. Frame 4: Now start wrapping yellow yarn, passing it in and out the frame. 3 4 3

Frame 5-8: Repeat the same using the other 3 colors onto the remaining three sides. 5 6 7 8 4

Frame 9: 9 Cover the back side of the frame with double sided tape. Frame 10: 10 Attach the transparent pastic sheet. Frame 11: 11 Now take the second carboard sheet and place the double sided tape on the 2 short sides and on 1 of the 2 long side, so to leave a long side free from tape (we will insert the photo from this side!!). Frame 12-13: Insert the photo, so to end the work. 5

2 Macrame Pencil 7

Materials: - Scissors - 3 colored yarn - A pencil 2 Macrame Pencil At first, cut 80 cm x each yarn. Pencil 1: Starting with pale purple yarn, fold yarn in 2 halves and place the pencil in the centre of it, then take the left side yarn and pass it on the pencil and BELOW the right side yarn. 1 8

Pencil 2: Now take the right side yarn and pass it BELOW the pencil and Above the left side yarn so to form a knot, so pull both sides leaving the pencil in the centre of the knot. 2 Pencil 3: 3 Repeat the same pattern for all the yarn. Pencil 4: 4 Now take the yellow yarn and repeat the same knot pattern. Pencil 5-6: Take the last yarn, pale blue and once again repeat the pattern. 9

5 6 Pencil 7: You have completed the coverage of your pencil using this macramé knot, that gives a spiral shape to your pencil!! Cut free yarn ends!! 7 10

3 Door- wall yarn decoration 11

3 Materials: - Scissors - yarn - needle - pipe cleaner - lanyard Door- wall yarn decoration Decoration 1: 1 Make a strong knot on the pipe cleaner. 12

Decoration 2-3: Wrap the yarn all around the pipe cleaner, and at the end create a loop with pipe cleaner. 2 3 Decoration 4-6: 4 Shape the wrapped cable in a heart, starting folding the cable in 2 halves and leaving the loop just in the middle of it, then, join the two halves. 5 6 13

Decoration 7: 7 Now, using a needle, finish wrapping the yarn around the loop. Decoration 8: 8 Take a lanyard and pass it trough the loops of both hearts. Decoration 9: Now attach your decoration on the wall or on the window/ door's handle! 9 14

4 Little pot with plant 15

Materials: 4 Little pot with - Scissors - colored yarns - A Pot - Double sided tape - Needle - 2 holed carboard rings (diameter about 3.5 cm) plant Pot: Attach the double sided tape all over the pot as shown in the picture. 16

Pot 1-2: Starting with pink yarn, wrap it around the vase base for approximately 5 rows. 1 2 Pot 3-5: 3 Repeat using the other colors, so to cover all the pot. 4 5 17

Pot 6: 6 Plant: now take the two carboard rings, and wrap green yarn passing it in and out the hole, using a needle, until covering all the surface, so to create a pompon. Pot 7-8: Cut the yarn between the perimeter of the two disks. 7 8 Pot 9: 9 Take a short piece of yarn and make a strong knot on the yarn between the two disks. 18

Pot 10: Put the green pompom in the vase, and you created your little plant!!!!!!! 10 19

5 Yarn Grape 20

Materials: - Scissors - yarn - needle - 2 carboard holed disks - 1 pipe cleaner 5 Yarn Grape Yarn Grape 1-2 : Green yarn: knot yarn, then wrap it around the pipe cleaner for all its length. 21

1 2 Yarn Grape 3: 3 Fold the pipe cleaner in a half, leaving a top hole, and wrap below the hole, for 2-3 of cm. Yarn Grape 4-5 : POMPOM (Make 6) Take the two carboard rings, and wrap purple yarn passing it in and out the hole, using a needle, until covering all the surface, so to create the first small pompon. 4 5 22

Yarn Grape 6-8: Cut the yarn between the perimeter of the two disks, and using a short piece of yarn, make a strong knot on the yarn between the two disks, and remove the cardboards. 6 7 8 Yarn Grape 9: 9 Now you have 6 pompom and a green, folded steam. 23

Yarn Grape 10: 10 You to attach the first pompom on the right stem, sewing it, of by glue, or by a simple knot. Yarn Grape 11: 11 Repeat the same for the left side stem. Yarn Grape 12-13: Now attach a pompom in the center (attached to both left and right sides of green th th stem), then the 4 pompon once again on the right, the 5 on the left and the last one in the center, try to dive it the natural shape of a grape (attach them close to each other). 12 13 24

Materials: - Scissors - yarn - needle - cardboard - glue - double sided tape - wooden clip 6 Fish paper clip Fish clip 1-2: Draw and cut two identical fish shapes from cardboard. 27

1 2 Fish clip 3: 3 Attach double side tape all over the 2 fish surface. Fish clip 4-5: Cover the fin with yellow yarn. 4 5 28

Fish clip 6-9: Then, using a pink yarn, wrap it around the fish body, if necessary (if yarn slides down from the fins) you can better fix it by using a strong glue (cold or hot). 6 7 8 9 Fish clip 10: 10 Now attach a plastic eye and make a mouth using purple yarn. Attach the second fish shape to the back side of the fish just made. 29

Fish clip 11: 11 Now attach the fish on the wooden clip using a strong glue (cold or hot). Fish clip 12: Here's a nice clip to fix your papers!!!! 12 30

7 Yarn birthday card 31

7 Yarn birthday card Materials: - Scissors - yarn - needle - cardboard fold in a half (final measures: 15 x 11 cm) - glue - pencil Birthday card 1: 1 Write Happy birthday and draw a present in front of the card. 32

Birthday card 2-3: Embroider the text, using a needle and letting it passing in and out each letter. 2 3 Birthday card 4-5: 4 Change color yarn at each letter. 5 33

Birthday card 6-8: 6 Then, cover all the present icon area, always embroidering it. 7 8 9 Birthday card 9: Decorate the present with a yellow yarn ribbon as shown in figure. 34

Birthday card 10: Now attach the back side of the card to the front side using glue, so to finish it. 10 35

8 Materials: - Scissors - yarn - cardboard - double sided tape and hot glue - scissors - pen - needle Bookmark Bookmark 1-2: Draw and cut a pencil shape (approximately 20 cm length) putting a hole in the bottom of it. 37

1 2 Bookmark 3: 3 Attach double sided tape all over the surface. Bookmark 4-5: Wrap green yarn for all the pencil body surface. 4 5 38

Bookmark 6: 6 With grey yarn wrap 4-5 rows. Bookmark 7: 7 With pink/red yarn wrap the bottom part (gum zone) being careful to maintain the central hole. Bookmark 8-9: Tassel: wrap green + pink yarn around 2 fingers for several times. 8 9 39

Bookmark 10: 10 Tight together at 1/3 of the length with pink yarn. Bookmark 11: 11 Cut on bottom. Bookmark 12: 12 Here's the tassel. Bookmark 13-14: Attach the tassel in the bottom hole. 40

13 14 Bookmark 15-17: Spread hot glue on the triangular top area and wrap pale yellow yarn on it. 15 16 17 41

Bookmark 18: 18 Spread hot glue only ton the very top and wrap green yarn. Bookmark 19-20: Here's the pencil shape yarn bookmark!!! 19 20 42

9 Necklace 43

9 Necklace Materials: - Scissors - yarn - scissors - manual french knitter + its needle - wooden beads Necklace 1: 1 Tie approximately 10 cm yarn to the French knitter needle. 44

Necklace 2-3: Pass it trought the hole of the French knitter and remove the needle maintaining the 10 cm yarn tail on the bottom. 2 3 Necklace 4: 4 Look at the face of your French knitter: it will have 4 pushpins (updown and right left), only for the first row it must pay attention on yarn position. Start wrapping yarn from LEFT TO RIGHT around the UP PUSHPIN. 45

Necklace 5: 5 Then pass it down around the DOWN PUSHPIN, wrapping the yarn around it. Necklace 6: 6 Continuing in clockwise direction wrap yarn around the right pushpin. Necklace 7: From this last wrap yarn around the left pushpin, so to complete the row; if you want you can rotate the French knitter while wrapping the yarn. 46

7 Necklace 8-9: Now you have 2 yarns around all pushpins: take the French knitter needle, and from the SECOND LAST you have to pick up the bottom loop, pulling it over the pushpin and contemporary pass the yarn in in clockwise on the next pushpin. 8 9 47

Necklace 10-13: Repeat (pull over the bottom yarn from a pushpin, rotate clockwise and wrap yarn on the top of next pushpin) until you create a long chain (approx 15 cm), then extract from the French knitter. 10 11 12 13 Necklace 14: 14 Sew together the 4 loops making a knot, leave a 10-15 cm yarn tale and then cut it. 48

Necklace 15: 15 Insert wooden beads on the left and right. Here's the French knitting beaded necklace!! Necklace 16: Spread hot glue only ton the very top and wrap green yarn. Here's the pencil shape yarn Necklace!!! 16 49

10 XMAS decoration yarn 50

Materials: - Scissors - yarn - polystyrane shapes - twig - needle - glue 10 XMAS yarn decoration XMAS 1: 1 Cut several pieces of green yarn (approx 10 cm length). 51

XMAS 2: 2 Take the Christmas Tree polystyrene shape. Now you have to pass each single piece of green yarn trough the tree shape, with the help of the needle. XMAS 3: 3 Cut the loop formed, so to have two little tails per face. XMAS 4-6: 4 Repeat until having covered the whole tree surface. 5 52

6 XMAS 7: 7 Take the Star polystyrene shape, cover it with glue and randomly wrap yellow yarn. XMAS 8-9: You have to attach the two shapes onto the twig by glue (cold, or hot). 53

8 9 XMAS 10-13: Make a cork tag and write Xmas on it, then cover the letters using pale yellow yarn. 10 11 12 13 54

XMAS 14: Attach the cork tag on the twig so to have your Christmas decoration that can be hanged on the door or left in the middle of the table! 14 55

A Materials: - Scissors - yarn - polystyrane circular shape - cord - needle 11 coloured bow wreath WREATH 1: 1 Wrap purple yarn around the circular shape. 57

WREATH 2: 2 Wrap until you will have covered the whole surface of the polystyrene shape. WREATH 3: 3 Take pink yarn and wrap it around your first two left fingers for 7-8 times, then wrap yarn just in the center, and make a knot and leave a long tail of yarn. WREATH 4: 4 You have formed a bow. WREATH 5: Insert the needle in the bow's tail and insert it in the polystyrene shape and pull strong so that the bow will stay attached on it. 5 58

WREATH 6: Repeat with further 4 bows. 6 WREATH 7-8: Wrap pale yellow yarn around. 7 8 WREATH 9-10: Attach the cord on the top of the wreath. 59

9 10 WREATH 11: You can now hang your bow wreath on the door, or on the wall!!! 11 60
