Professional Profile: o Registered for PhD under VTU, 2017 under the guidance of Dr. Megha Arkeri, Associate Professor, Information Science, MSRIT, Co- guide- Dr N. Sriraam, Prof. & HOD Medical Electronics dept. Research Centre MSRIT, Bangalore. o Appointed as Jury Member in Innovative Engineering Technology -17. o Working as Assistant Professor in Telecommuncation Department, Sri Jagadguru Chandrashekaranatha Swamiji Institute of Technology (SJCIT), Chikballapur. [Nov 2011 till date] o Worked as a Research Assistant at Aeroacoustics & Plasma Dynamics Lab (APDL), Aerospace Department, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, under Prof. T.S. Sheshadri and Dr. N. Ramesh. [Sep 2008 to Sep 2010]. o 8 months of industrial experience with General Electric (GE) as a project trainee on Development of Protocol Converter for Logic Controller in Indian Railways. Projects 1. Project Title : Interactive Voice Response System Index Terms : Interactive Voice Response System, Automated Information Retrieval Software : VB, Embedded C Overview : Project carried out in the partial completion of B.E, E&C, 2006. It involved storing and automating retrieving student information from a database. An Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) processes inbound phone calls, plays recorded messages including information extracted from databases. This system includes an embedded module (h/w) card made to interface with computer and with telephone line. The voice for response is recorded and stored in HDD and are played in sequence as per request sent by caller. The caller places his request by pressing keys through DTMF keypad. This is decoded and sent to computer where the software running will send a particular voice file and it guides to caller for further information. 2. Project Title : Development of Protocol Converter for the Logic Controller in Indian Railways at General Electric (GE), Bangalore Index Terms : Logic Controller, Solid State Interlocking, Protocol Conversion, RDSO Protocol, LSI. Software : Embedded C, Keil. Hardware : PICE Development Board, Logic Controller Overview : Project carried out for the completion of M.Tech, Digital Communication and Networking, 2008. The project involves development of an interface system that serves a Protocol converter for the Logic Controller. The Solid State Interlocking device of GE, referred to as the Logic Controller is an
interlocking device that has a local storage of the status of the connected inputs and records the event messages whenever there is a change in the status of the inputs connected to it. Data Logging of the events occurring at the interlocking is essential to determine the sequence of events in case of a failure. The interface system developed monitors the Logic Controller and implements Protocol conversion of the event messages to the secure RDSO format as specified by the Indian Railways. The use of LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) algorithm on the data log to enable a faster search for a particular event message has been demonstrated. 3. Project Title : Sinusoidal Sound Generators Using Excel sheet at IISc, Bangalore Index Terms : Frequencies generation, Multi Media Player (.wav format), linear sound source localization Tools : Excel worksheet using VBA programming Overview : This work demonstrates specific sound frequencies generation in the form of a pure sinusoidal generator. The sound is generated using the Multi Media Player (.wav format) of Windows with the sampling of the sinusoidal wave in an Excel worksheet using VBA programming. The work reported here is a very inexpensive method of generating sinusoidal sound using easily available software, PC and Loudspeaker. The 250 Hz frequency signal has been used to locate the linear sound source with 2 microphones. The source is localized using the relationship between intensity of sound and distance from the source. This is applicable for conducting sound experiments in the laboratories of schools and colleges and in research fields. 4. Project Title : Numerical simulation of a small scale ion engine at IISc, Bangalore Index Terms : Numerical Simulation, momentum, ion engine, viscous loss Tools : Matlab programming Overview : Plasma acceleration is confined to a small region at the upstream end of the accelerator in an ion engine. The objective of this theoretical project is to study the effect of viscous loss in plasma acceleration in ion engine. This effect is studied by including viscous terms in the momentum equation. The resulting higher order formulation is solved by a combination of analytical and numerical methods using Matlab. 5. Project Title : Simulation of Electrical discharge in Teflon cavity of coaxial Pulse Plasma Thruster at IISc, Bangalore Index Terms : Numerical model, differential equation, DFT, RGB to Wavelength algorithm, Tools : Matlab and Excel Overview : The aim of this project is to design the ETC cartridge. The cartridge is Teflon cavity with copper wire center to it, which is connected with high voltage source. My role in this project is to develop a mathematical model in Matlab. The model is base on Keidar 1 st order differential equation for Electrical discharge in Teflon cavity. The images are also analyzed by RGB to Wavelength algorithm is coded in Matlab using camera s frequency response for temperature profile. The recorded sound is analyzed by Discrete Fourier Transform. We have found out the weighted frequency (1800 Hz) from
spectrum analysis of data, which is increasing in the magnitude with respect to consumed energy. This also finds an application in rocket engine, defense, aviation industry etc. Publications 1.
