Assembly Instructions Definition Set-on-Surface Bookcase Apply double-sided adhesive tape (Bottom) Pencil or Erasable Marker Scissors or Utility Knife Package Contents Double-sided Adhesive Tape Note: It is recommended that two (2) persons be used to lift and place the set-on surface bookcase. 1. To securely attach a set-on-surface bookcase to a worksurface, carefully turn the bookcase upside down on a smooth, hard surface. Cut two strips of double-sided (Top) adhesive tape and place them along the bottom panel as shown. DO NOT remove the film backer to expose the adhesive at this time. (). 2. Carefully turn the bookcase upright and place it on the worksurface in its desired position. Mark this location. Note: The worksurface MUST be clean, dry, and free of any dirt or residue to assure adequate adhesion. Lift the bookcase and remove the film backers from the double-sided adhesive tape. Adhere the bookcase to the marked location on the worksurface. (). Caution: The tape is a very strong adhesive and bonds instantly to any surface it is applied to. Task stations are comprised of returns and corner units. Position the preassembled units in their desired location. (). 2. Level the units. Install the flat brackets to the corner unit using #10 x 1" panhead screws provided. (). 3. Align the end panels so the dowel aligns the upper edge. Dowel Pull the units together and attach the undersurface connecting rail using #8 x 1 1 4" panhead screws provided. Attach return worksurface to flat brackets already installed on the corner unit using #10 x 1" panhead screws provided. Re-level units. (). 4. Prior to installing the pedestals (ordered separately) remove the L-brackets attached to the end panel/worksurface to allow pedestals to fit flush against the end panel. (Figure D). Universal Assembly Instructions Pedestal Drawer Removal None Release Tab Package Contents None 1. Extend the box or file drawer to its full extension. Locate the drawer slide release tab, in the approximate location shown, on each side of the drawer box. Press tabs in and pull drawer straight out until slide drawer members disengage from cabinet members. (). Note: Lateral file drawer fronts use six (6) screws. 2. To reinstall drawer, extend slide cabinet members. Note: Make sure chrome ball bearing member is also forward. Carefully align slide drawer members with cabinet members and gently push drawer closed. Casegoods Assembly Instructions Definition Page 1 of 2 Wall Mounted Storage Hacksaw Level Traxx Wall Mount Bracket Package Contents Overhead Storage Overhead Brackets Spacer Blocks 1. The TRAXX wall mount bracket (ordered separately) allows you to hang an overhead cabinet off a building wall. (). 2. The wall mount bracket consists of one piece of extruded aluminum Traxx 72" long. The 72" bracket will have to be field-cut if a smaller single cabinet is to be used. Follow Traxx installation sheet to install Traxx to wall (overhead brackets hang from the Traxx wall mount bracket). (). Note: The optional overhead filler strip (ordered separately) is used to conceal the Traxx wall mount bracket. If the filler bracket is to be used, install the filler bracket prior to hanging the overhead cabinet. 3. To install the overhead cabinet filler bracket, loosen the outer-most screw on the end of the Traxx wall mount bracket. Slide the drilled flange of the filler bracket behind the Traxx wall mount bracket. Align the top of the filler bracket flush with the top of the wall mount bracket. Re-tighten the screw in the wall mount bracket. Use a level to align the filler bracket vertically. Fasten the lower portion of the filler bracket to the wall with the provided screw. (). Position the overhead brackets on the Traxx wall mount brackets and align them with the mounting hardware already attached to the back of the overhead cabinet. 30", 36", 42", and 48" wide cabinets require two overhead brackets. 60", 66", and 72" wide cabinets require four overhead brackets. (Figure D). 5. Prior to hanging the cabinet, attach the spacer block(s) (using the double-face tape) to the back side of the cabinet to allow for proper spacing from the wall. 30", 36", and 42" cabinets require one spacer block. 48", 54", 60", 66", and 72" cabinets require two spacer blocks. (Figure E). 6. Install the overhead by tilting the bottom of the cabinet approximately 15 away from the wall, and engaging the bracket on the inside of the cabinet onto the overhead bracket on the Traxx. Tip: Cabinets with door(s) should have the door(s) open while hanging to aid in locating overhead bracket. Casegoods Assembly Instructions Lock Core Lock core with pre-inserted key None Package Contents Lock Core/Key (key may be either rectangular or round head) 1. The key is pre-inserted into the lock core. Do not remove the key prior to lock core installation. (). 2. Prior to inserting the lock core/key be sure that the lock tenon on the end of the lock core is aligned with the cutout Lock Tenon at the back of the drawer/door lock housing. (). 3. To install the lock core, angle the core slightly so that the raised wafer () can be inserted into the lock Raised Wafer Lock Housing Drawer or Door Front housing. When the wafer is inside the housing, straighten the core and push in firmly to fully seat the core in the lock housing. (). 4. The lock core will only seat properly when the lock tenon and housing cutout are correctly aligned. You will not be able to remove the key if the core is not fully engaged and properly seated in the housing. (Figure D). Note: Future removal of lock cores require a yellow Change Key, ordered separately. Position the main unit in the desired location. Level main Align unit. Install the flat brackets to the main unit using #10 x 1" panhead screws provided. (). Return or Bridge 2. Align the return or bridge unit up to the main unit. Position the tops so the outer edge of the main unit and return unit are flush and pull tight against main unit. Fasten return top to the flat brackets using #10 x 1" panhead screws provided. (). 3. Align the main unit end panel and the return unit modesty panel to eliminate any crack between them. This can be done by adjusting the levelers up/down on the return or main units. Once the crack is eliminated, attach the main unit to the return unit using the return connecting rail and #8 x 1¹ ₄" panhead screws provided. Re-level units. (). Align modesty panel of return to end panel of main unit. Fasten the return or bridge top to the drop bracket on the main unit using #10 x 1" panhead screws provided. (). 3. A component return consists of a component worksurface, component pedestal(s), and a return modesty panel. These components are non-handed and can be configured as a left or right return unit. (). ⁵ ₆₄" 2. To install, place worksurface on a clean soft surface, underside facing up. The pedestal should be positioned ⁵³ ₆₄" Left Return Shown so the side is ⁵ ₆₄" from the edge of the worksurface. The pedestal should set ⁵³ ₆₄" from the back edge of the worksurface. (). 3. It is critical that the modesty panel extend ⁵ ₆₄" beyond the edge of the top in order to link to the main unit! A breakfront modesty panel can be used between any two component pedestals to make a desk or credenza configuration. (). 2. Remove drawers from pedestals, then position pedestals upside-down on underside of worksurface. Attach the bracket to the pedestal at the desired position using #8 x ⁵ ₈" panhead screws. (Normal modesty position is 3" from the approach side of the desk). Attach modesty to brackets using #8 x ⁵ ₈" panhead screws. Position pedestal/modesty assembly to underside of top holding a margin of ⁵ ₆₄" on each side and 1¹ ₁₆" from the user edge to the pedestal wood rail. Fasten pedestal metal rail and metal brackets to worksurface using #8 x 1" panhead screws. (). Note: Make sure drawers are returned to their original location. To install, place worksurface on a clean soft surface, underside facing up. 3. Fasten modesty to worksurface using screws provided. The ganging bracket is used to connect two pedestals or two storage units together without defacing the exterior of the cabinets. (). 2. Pedestals can be ganged together using ganging brackets at either the top or bottom of the two units. If only one bracket is being used, it should be positioned at the bottom location. Use #8 x ⁵ ₈" panhead screws provided with ganging kit. (). 3. Wall mount overhead storage units can be ganged together using a ganging bracket under the two units. For units with modesty panels, position end panel as shown in Figure E. The modesty panel can be positioned in the center of the half cylinder support base or moved flush with either end of the base. Attach the brackets to the end panel and half cylinder base using #8 x ⁵ ₈" panhead screws prior to attaching the modesty panel. Brackets must be mounted facing inside (toward the user's side) in the kneewell. Attach the modesty panel brackets on the end panel and support base using the #8 x ⁵ ₈" flathead screws. (Figure E). Note: If using optional center drawer, modesty panel will need to be flush with the front edge of the half cylinder base to allow clearance. Definition 1 Highback Organizer Corner Highback Organizer 1. The highback organizer sits on top of a worksurface. It can be attached to the worksurface using the double faced tape provided. 2. Attach double faced tape to the bottom of the highback organizer end panels. Position highback unit 5 64" from the back and side edges of the worksurface. A suspended overhead storage unit mounts between two set-on storage units or between a set-on storage unit and a vertical storage unit. Align the units in their desired position. (). 2. If suspended overhead cabinet is used between two floor standing vertical storage units, you must position a pair of ¹ ₈" spacers (provided) between the suspended overhead and the freestanding unit. Peel off double faced tape and fasten to side panel of suspended storage unit. Attach foam to end panel ¹ ₈" from the front edge of end panel. (). 3. Tackboards can be attached to any highback organizer to provide a tackable surface. Tackboards can also be wall mounted. The tack panel is provided with routed channels on the back side to help manage cords. (). 2. Insert a screw into the hole of each loose Dual Lock pad, 4 or 6, as required. (). 3. Slat tile may be attached to inside face of back panel on Highback Organizer using supplied mounting brackets and screws. (). 2. Attach three mounting brackets (beveled edge up) at recommended height of 14" from bottom edge of back panel to bottom edge of mounting brackets and spaced horizontally to match mating brackets on back of slat tile. Brackets to be positioned level and attached using supplied #8 x 5 8" long screws (four screws per bracket). (). 3. Place slat tile against back panel and above secured mounting brackets. Lower slat tile onto mating mounting brackets until fully engaged. 14" 4. Using #8 x 5 8" screws, secure bottom corners of slat tile by inserting one screw in each pre-bored hole located in lower corners. Prep modesty panels by attaching L brackets with long leg of bracket attached to modesty with 5/8 screws (Figure A). 2. Mount the modesty wing panel to the end panel () or the side of a storage unit () so that it is flush with end panel or set back no more that 2 from edge of worksurface*. Attach to end panel with 5/8 screw and to worksurface with 1 screw (Figure D). Use square to insure panel is perpendicular to end and worksurface. 3. When attaching modesty panel insure that it is parallel with the front of the worksurface by measuring its inset at both ends. (Figure E). Attach with 1 screws to worksurface and 5/8 screws to end panels. Note: *Verify modesty location with application of support and its location. Install L brackets to end panels with #8 x 1 panhead screw, long leg to panel (). 2. Align end panel flush with the bottom of panel it attaches too. On a storage unit the panel needs to be even with the back of the storage end panel to inset (). Check that both sides are the same distance off the back of the worksurface. Attach with #8 x 1 3/4 screws. 3. Flush bottom of modesty panel with bottom of end panels. Center in knee space opening (). There is side to side adjustment to meet multiple applications. 4. Attach modesty to L brackets attached to end panels with #8 x 5/8 (Figure D). Note: to insure proper function modesty must be installed perpendicular to the panels that make up the knee space its installed in. Install flat brackets to worksurface that the extinction will run off of. Place brackets so that the set in 3 on each side based off the width of extension worksurface (). 2. Place extension worksurface on a clean soft surface, underside facing up. Note: Support should be positioned so that maximum unsupported span never exceeds 60. Pedestal attachment 3. Remove drawers from pedestal and place pedestal upside down on surface. Pedestal can be mounted at the end of the worksurface () or set in for an overhanging worksurface (). Note: Pedestals that are shallower than the worksurface are still located the same distance off the user side of worksurface. Metal leg attachment (O, U, and Elite) 4. When installing support on angled worksurfaces perpendicular to the front edge, the support should line up with the end of the straight section of the worksurface on the approach side (Figure H). 10.
