About Project: Clerkenwell Office fit-out Product: Bespoke Flatweave design. Flat woven with pure Wool. 12m x 2.2m Location: Clerkenwell Office Fit out, London Hand-made by design At we specialise in the development and production of exclusively designed and hand-made rugs for the contract, hospitality and residential sectors. Combining traditional textile techniques with contemporary visual concepts we aim to provide innovative, durable and sustainable design solutions for your project. Our design combines shapes, colours and textures to create unique rugs to suit individual requirements. The quality of our rugs is the result of our commitment to outstanding standards of design and craftsmanship. We carefully select our makers and ensure our materials are of the highest quality and from sustainable sources. About About

Comissioning Process Design: Random Brush Strokes Product: Bespoke design. Hand knotted with pure Wool. 2.4m x 1.7m Location: Residential project, London All of our projects are dealt with on a one-off commission basis and great care is taken to ensure our clients needs are met. Our bespoke service is best described as a dialogue between the client and ourselves where together we incorporate colour, dimensions and elements of the site itself into the artwork concept. After a preliminary meeting we will produce two or more original designs per rug. These designs can be adapted from the portfolio or specially created for the project. Upon presentation of designs, new colours may be introduced, chosen colours removed or corrected and the overall design of the rug(s), after final adjustments, defined. From the design stages through to the final fittings, we are committed to providing high quality products combined with excellent service. Commissioning Process Commissioning Process

Residential Our commitment to high quality materials and manufacturing processes means our rugs easily withstand the wear and tear of a busy living space. s rugs possess qualities which enhance the sense of well being of a home, boasting air purification, moisture control and fire resistance as well as anti-allergic and anti-static properties. All our rugs are moth-proofed. A rug naturally insulates the home providing and retaining warmth, lowering energy costs and helping to reduce noise levels. Residential Residential

Design: Shadow Grey Product: Bespoke design. Hand tufted in Wool and Tencel. 3m x 2m Location: Barn Conversion, Private Residential Client Inspired by a minimalist art work installation, this design uses materials to convey the subtleties of light and shadows. This monochromatic piece juxtaposes the Wool s matt quality with the sheen of the Moon, a silk like material, creating a unique space where light and texture are at play. Residential Residential

Materials All our materials are of contract quality and obtained from sustainable sources. WOOL Our New Zealand wool, renowned for its purity of colour, is dyed inhouse with contract quality dyes to the highest standards ensuring top light and colour-fastness. It is also inherently insulating, thus preventing heat loss and reducing noise levels in the home and office environment. Our pure Wool rugs capacity to resist dirt, easy-to-clean nature and shape-retaining qualities, ensures a long lasting, robust flooring solution. MOON Our Moon range is produced with Eucalyptus fibre sourced in the EU and is of outstanding quality. This fibre is produced by a highly sustainable ecological process resulting in a 100% biodegradable material. Moon is naturally anti-allergic, anti-static and moth-proofed. It( )s smooth surface has high moisture absorbency and low abrasion properties. Our Moon rugs boast extremely high comfort levels and are characterised by their silky feel and luxurious finish. FLAX Flax rugs are made with 100% Italian linen, a natural fibre of the highest quality and renowned for its impressive durability. It does not soil easily, remains colourfast and is very soft to the touch. It is anti-static and moth-proofed. Flax has an understated elegance with a subtle sheen and offers outstanding comfort levels. Materials Materials

Processes At we pride ourselves in the expertise of our craftspeople. s rugs and carpets are produced using three different techniques: weaving, tufting and knotting. Weaving is a method in which two distinct sets of yarns are interlaced at right angles to form the fabric. The longitudinal threads are called the warp and the lateral threads, forming the surface of the rug, are the weft. Within this framework variations are introduced to create regular patterns and textures. Our woven collection, called Flatweaves, is hand-made in Portugal with pure New Zealand wool. Tufting is a method in which strands of yarn are inserted onto a base and then stabilised with natural latex. This technique permits greater freedom in the composition, allowing the hand to move freely to define and fill out areas of the design. Our hand tufted rugs can be made with Wool, Moon (Eucalyptus fibre) and Flax (Linen). Hand-knotting is a very intricate and labour-intensive rug weaving process. Before weaving begins, the rug s full-scale design is drawn on special graph paper. Once the design is drafted, it is placed on a loom where columns of thread - the warp - are stretched vertically and secured by arranging the horizontal rows - the weft - using wool or silk. All our hand-knotted rugs are fully certified by the GoodWeave Foundation. Materials Processes & Process Processes

Bespoke s design team is lead by Chi Chi Cavalcanti, a textile designer with a fine art background and fifteen years experience in the textile industry. Cavalcanti s designs are characterised by an intuitive use of colour and abstract compositions, often using elements of the space itself as the framework. With colour as the working theme, Cavalcanti s rugs range from geometric abstractions to more fluid compositions where Wool, Linen, Eucalyptus and Silk are used as paint and the frame and tufting cloth as her canvas. Bespoke Bespoke

Bespoke designs can be adapted from the portfolio of existing artworks or specially created for individual projects. When designing a rug I take into consideration colour and size requirements, the source of light to be cast upon it and its position within the space. A well designed rug can be viewed from all angles Chi Chi Cavalcanti Leaves Hand tufted in pure Wool. 2.4m x 1.7m Random Brush Strokes Hand knotted in pure Wool. 2.4m x 1.7m Dawn Hand tufted in Wool and Linen. 2.4m x 1.7m Colour Cast Neutral Hand knotted in pure Wool. 2.4m x 1.7m Bespoke Bespoke
