In order to put the hand-held remote into operation, a radio communication link to the OKIMAT IPS must first be established. Proceed as follows to establish communications: Press the reset/pairing button () on OKIMAT IPS two times briefly in succession. The pairing LED then switches on. The OKIMAT IPS will now be in teach-in mode for about 5 seconds. Press and hold the pairing button (9): in the battery compartment of the handset. The pairing LED on the handset starts to flash. The pairing LEDs on the handset and the drive then go out. The teach-in (configuring) mode is completed. Locking or enabling the RF9 hand-held remote control Press and hold button for about three seconds: this willl either enable or lock the hand-held remote control. Usingg the flashlight on the RF9 hand-held remotee control The flashlight can be turned on by pressing and holding button 2. CAUTION! Do not look directly into the light beam and do not shine the flashlight directly into other people's eyes. Adjusting the intensity of the massage To turn the massage function (head and foot end) on or off, press button 7 on the RF9 hand-held remote control. If the massage functionn is turned off, it can be activated by pressing button (+), 55 (+) or 4 (WAVE). If the massage functionn is turned on, it can be deactivated, starting from the lowest intensity, by pressing button 6 (-) or 8 (-). The massage intensity is changed through steps each time one of the buttons, 5, 6 or 8 is pressed. Press the WAVE button 4 to switch between the three interval levels. This is then indicated by the LEDs above the WAVE button. The massage programs end automatically after 0 minutes. / 6

Perform a reference drive The OKIMAT IPS has a positional feedback feature. A referencing movement must first be carried out before this feature can function properly. Press and hold the reset/pairing button () on the OKIMAT IPS until the end position has been reached. The system is now ready for operation. Saving the memory positions You can save three different memory positions on the buttons "ZGRAV / TV and CUST" as follows: Move to the desired position using buttons 4, 6, 7 or 9. Press and hold button (SET) for one second; the massage function is activated and the pairing LED turns on for approximately one second. Within three seconds, press button 0 (ZGRAV), button (TV) or button 2 (CUST) in order to save the position. The massage function and pairing LED go on for approximately one second. The desired position is now saved on buttons 0, or 2 (ZGRAV, TV or CUST). You can overwrite the saved memory position at any time by repeating this process. Synchronizing S two OKIMAT IPS systems CAUTION! Only connect the electrical components when the power supply is switched off. When two OKIMAT IPS systems are being used together, you can connect them t using a synchronous cable between the multi-function ports. Press the reset/pairing button on the OKIMAT IPS to move both of the OKIMAT IPS systems to their end positions (the lower limit positions for the drives). Disconnect the power plug on both OKIMAT IPS systems from the power socket. Connect both OKIMAT IPS systems by connecting the appropriate synchronous cable into the multi-function ports. Insert the power plug on both OKIMAT IPS systems into the power outlet. Synchronous operations are possible as soon as both systems are connected to the power supply. Both programmed remote controls can be used to move the OKIMAT IPS systems. Switching to automatic movements and factory settings The buttons ZGRAV, TV, CUST and FLAT can be used for various saved positions. Press the respective button briefly (press and release) to move to that position. The button does not need to be held down. Proceed as follows to establish communications: Activate Press buttons 6 and 8 for about five seconds at the same time. The massage function and the pairing LED go on for approximately one second. Briefly press button 0 (ZGRAV), button (TV), button 2 (CUST) or button 8 (FLAT); the drives then move automatically to the desired position. Deactivate (factory default) Press buttons (SET) and 8 (FLAT) for about five seconds at the same time. The massage function and the pairing LED go on for approximately one second. 4 / 6

Cleaning and care This system was designed so that it would be easy to clean. Be sure to unplug the power cord on the power supply unit before you begin cleaning it! Use a dry cloth to clean the system. Be sure that you do not damage the connecting cables during the cleaning. Disposal The system consists of electronic components, cables and metal and plastic parts. You should observe all corresponding national and regional environmental regulations when disposing of the system. The disposal of the end product is regulated in Germany by Elektro-G, internationally by the EU Directive 20/65/EC (RoHS), or by any applicable national laws and regulations.
