PRINTMAKING STUDIO PRINTMAKING STUDIO: MONOTYPE PRINTING Explore the painterly process of monotype printing. A great way to explore color, composition, and imagery, this printing process allows you to experiment with both additive and subtractive methods of ink application. Appropriate for true beginners and experienced printmakers alike, the instructor will take you through each process step-by-step. No prior experience in printmaking is needed to take this course. Dry point etching involves using a pointed tool to score small indentations into the surface of a printing plate. Appropriate for true beginners and experienced printmakers alike, the instructor will discuss proper ink modification, press usage, print registration, and green plate clean-up processes.
