JAI GURUDEVA! JAI GURUDEVA! JAI GURUDEVA! With the deepest salutations this little endeavor is offered to our revered Gurudeva Sri Sri Paramahansa Yoganandaji s divine lotus feet. With my exceedingly inadequate musical knowledge and guitar playing, I could in no way have completed this work without His ever-flowing grace and love. Hari Om Tat Sat Your mind should continually whisper: 'Night and day I look for Thee, night and day.' That is the philosophy of life by which you should live. ~ Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda Strictly, this work is not for the commercial use: it is solely intended for the devotees who want accompanying themselves on the guitar while chanting Gurudeva s Chants. If you like my work please express gratitude to our beloved Gurudeva for guiding my intuition in suggesting all you dear ones the guitar chords for these three Cosmic Chants: 1. DOOR OF MY HEART, 2. O THOU KING OF THE INFINITE, and 3. THOUSANDS OF SUNS I humbly want you all to know that I am not a musician; as a result, there may be mistakes here and there. Also, the suggested chords may not meet your individual preferences or expectations. I trust I will be forgiven for that. Allow me to share it with you that a lot of time and energy has gone into these chord arrangements to reasonably maintain the natural flow of these chants. I leave it to you guitar players to decide whether I have succeeded in my effort or not. Let me also add that I ve worked out these chord arrangements based on the Notation/Lead Sheet given in the book COSMIC CHANTS which is available from SRF. As far as I know, this particular book with Melody Lines (Notation/Lead Sheet) has not yet been printed or distributed by YSS of India; therefore, it is not available at this part of the world. 1

*Here, I ve suggested a different voicing for Ebmajor7 by leaving out the 5 th note (F). Why? It is because my musical perception dictates me to do so. If I do not place this chord where I ve pointed it should be, I feel like my heart is not wholly filled with the musical flow so to speak. My perception wants me to fill in and make complete the incomplete! However, if you do not feel comfortable with the given voicing you can replace it with the ones shown below or simply stick with the Bb/F chord if you feel it works better for you. The choice is yours. Ebmaj7 F.N. x 6 8 7 8 x L.H.F. x 1 3 2 4 x Alternatively, Eb/F F.N. x 8 8 8 8 x L.H.F. x 1 1 1 1 x A.F. x 3 3 3 3 x ** With my limited musical knowledge, I could not pin-point the exact name for this chord. But for our use I ve named it G Minor with the B Flat Note on the First String. Phew! What a long name! As always, my musical sense guided me to use it. I agree this may come as a very difficult chord to finger for some people. So for those who find it difficult can always use the regular Gm chord.
