Wake up at the beach each morning and take a leisurely walk before breakfast in the Dolphin Reef. We take over the meeting facility at the Ocean Plaza Resort & Hotel and run amok! There is always something to do. Have too much to do? Just come for the open sewing and finish those pesky UFOs and take home your completed projects. At the end of the day, watch the waters calm as evening approaches. The sewing isn t done! The open sewing room is available at all hours! We ve been working feverishly to get together a great set of classes for your sewing pleasure. We have brought back favorites and are bringing in new ones too! Room includes radio/alarm clock, full-size bathroom, hairdryer, chairs, balcony, coffee maker and TV with remote control. Queen rooms have a work desk. Great fun and a fast way to make a quilt top. Last year we donated approximately 30 quilt tops! Friday, 7 pm Left-Right-Center Casserole Carrier* Bring in 3 fat quarters (per night) and join the fun! The winner walks away with all the fats!! We will be playing L-R- C each night in one of the Garden Rooms following the evening activity. Take your covered dish to the guild meeting, church or family dinner in style! In one session you will be able to complete this casserole carrier and have it for the next event. You will have the opportunity to embroider an initial on your carrier during class for an extra touch. This will hold a 13 x 9 x 2 dish with lid. Supplies: Basic Sewing supplies, 1/3 yd (straps), 1 yd (pocket), 1 yd (outside), 1 1/2 yd 22 insulbrite, marking pen Let Love Grow* Take a little while away from your machine and enjoy creating this handwork piece. Once the handwork is done you can make a pillow, wallhanging or use it in a quilt top. It s all up to you. You will learn the techniques and the pattern from the designer, Regina. Notable: If you are staying at the Ocean Plaza, your breakfasts (for 2) are included in your room rate. If there are more than two in the room just add $10 per person/per night. Several meals are included with your tuition for the weekend. Join us for lunch Thursday and Friday as well as our closing dinner on Saturday evening. Social Guests are welcome! There is a modest fee for your social guest to cover the cost of their meals. This fee includes the opening reception, lunch Thursday & Friday, and dinner Saturday with the group. Guest Fee: $100 Cancellation policy: Once we have received your registration form and payment you will be registered. We number each registration as they arrive. We fill classes on a first come basis- No cancellations are accepted after 12/1/13 because we will have paid the hotel for meals and such. Basic Sewing Supplies: Cutting supplies, construction thread, scissors, sewing machine, extra bobbins, and any tool or toy you just love. You will need these items for your machine sewing classes.
