2 Portal Machining Centers aprogramme of outstanding performance T/TF In addition to the High Machining Centers DS Technologie manufactures Portal Machining Centers with fixed or adjustable cross rails. The Portal Machining Center series is designed for applications in the aircraft-, tool and die-, powered-vehicle-construction-industry in addition to general mechanical engineering. If neccesary Portal Machining Centers can be linked with aditional machines. There is also the possibility to interlink Portal and High Machining Centers to form a flexible manufacturing system to machine large size components from rough material to the finished part. Idle times can be largely reduced by pallet change or seperated work zones, through the simultaneous setting of components in the machining time. Efficient roughing and finishing of e.g. large gear boxes is accomplished using 5-sided machining operations. The automatic adaptation to the milling unit is followed by automatic clamping and coupling of all supply systems.
