He primarily conducts searches at both the field and executive level throughout the eastern United States. Mike s clients include commercial, industrial, multi-family, and high-rise general contractors and developers. Mike, along with his team, has successfully completed over 700 searches ranging from field personnel to executive level. He was ranked #1 in the country in 1999 and 2000 and has been ranked among the top ten nationally among a network of 5,000 executive recruiters. His team has staffed entire construction projects and assisted key clients in opening branch/satellite offices. He boasts long-term staffing partnerships as evidenced by completing over 185 searches for one prestigious client organization. He provides his clients insight on issues such as employee retention, Internet recruiting strategies, compensation surveys, performance appraisals, interviewing, and leadership training. Ryan Ross rross@kbic.com 972.265.5206 Ryan specializes in helping his clients identify, attract, and retain the top talent in the Construction and Development industry. He and his team focus in the central United States and have clients ranging from start-up specialty contractors to large national development firms. Ryan has extensive experience in working with candidates in the areas of executive leadership, project management, field operations, and pre-construction. Ryan joined Kaye/Bassman in 2004. Since joining the team, his practice has produced over $5 Million in search fees. He was the Project Person of the year in 2006 and began leading the team as a Practice in 2007. In January of 2008, Ryan became a Managing in the firm. Ryan had six years of honorable service in the United States Marine Corps and started his civilian career as a recruiter in the technology industry. After three years with a national staffing organization Ryan left the recruiting industry to work for a Fortune 500 software company. Ryan spent four years in software sales before returning to his passion and joining Kaye/Bassman s Construction Search practice. Ryan lives in McKinney, Texas with his wife Laurel and their three boys Grayson, Carson, and Hudson. Ryan is actively involved with his church and family. Weather permitting you will find Ryan on the road bicycling. He s ridden hundreds of miles to helped raise funds for the Lance Armstrong Foundation, MS Society, and other local charities.

His area of expertise and specialization is the search and recruitment of professionals for the western United States in commercial construction, specialty contractors, and real estate development firms. David s commitment to the west coast construction industry has earned him the reputation and respect of clients and candidates throughout the west. David s clients engage him to complete search assignments for executive leadership roles including CEO, CFO, COO, and regional management. He is also relied upon for locating and landing the nation s most sought-after Project Executive, Project Manager, Superintendent, Business Development and Estimator talent. Prior to joining Kaye/Bassman, David was Vice President of the Southwest Region for Ruppman Marketing Services, Inc. (RMS). David was graduated from St. Mary s College with a Bachelors of Arts in Management and Marketing and played on the St. Mary s Basketball team all four years. David is married and has three daughters. Marty Shapan martys@kbic.com 972.265.5202 Marty Shapan's area of expertise and specialization is in the search and recruitment of professionals for the Western United States in Commercial Construction, Specialty Contractors, and within Real Estate Development. His focus is completing search assignments for Executive leadership including CEO, CFO, COO and regional management. Since joining Kaye/Bassman in 2002, Marty has progressed from a purely recruiting role to working with clients and completing high level assignments in the subcontractor market. In his first full year on staff he helped the team accomplish a Top 10 finish within a network of 4,000 recruiters. In 2005, he was named Project Person of the year and runner-up in 2006. He was promoted to Practice in 2007 and achieved status in January 2008. Marty graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism, Radio and Television. After graduating, he worked for his college Fraternity Sigma Alpha Mu as the Director of Expansion and Alumni Development. His main responsibilities were starting alumni and undergraduate chapters. During his tenure he successfully started thirteen undergraduate chapters and several alumni clubs. Marty is married to Heather and together have been blessed with two daughters, Samantha and Andi. Lee A. Martin Search Consultant lmartin@kbic.com 972.265.5396 Lee Martin joined Kaye/Bassman's Construction & Real Estate Practice as a Project Consultant in 2004 and became a Practice in 2008. His specialty has been working with the industry s top 400 contractors and real estate firms specifically within the Midwestern U.S. providing executive and recruitment services in the areas of field operations, project management, preconstruction management, safety, and quality management, as well as, marketing research and training in the areas of on-boarding and retention. Lee's roots are in Cape Town, South Africa where he spent the first fourteen years of his life as the oldest son of a Missionary family. Upon relocation to the United States in 1999, he attended Abilene Christian University graduating with a degree in Business Management with a focus in both Organizational Management and Marketing. Lee lives in Frisco, Texas currently and enjoys staying active in the gym and sports, as well as, with Kaye/Bassman s Charitable Fund and ONE Organization which helps fight international poverty. Joey A. Pickens Search Consultant jjp@kbic.com 972.265.5286 Joey Pickens joined Kaye/Bassman s Construction Practice in 2000. His search experience and expertise is in the commercial, federal and civil construction sectors specifically in the Texas, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico markets where he has conducted searches from the executive to entry level. His clients include regional and national firms of which 95% is repeat business. Joey has helped clients with strategic and critical needs and expansion into new markets, as well as, retention, competitive analysis, marketing, and sales training. Joey is a native of Waco, TX and graduated from Baylor University in 1995. Prior to joining Kaye/Bassman, he spent five years with the Trane Company specializing in supplier development, procurement, and supervision for their manufacturing division in Waco, TX. He resides in McKinney, TX with his wife Karen and two black labs, Chuck and Katie. He spends most of his free time golfing, playing guitar and reading.
