Kopko for Assembly 105 W. 8 th St., Bayonne, NJ 07002 votekopko.com FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: (201) 338-0392 (O) ASSEMBLYMAN DECLAN O SCANLON ENDORSES MATTHEW KOPKO CANDIDATE FOR NJ 31 LD ASSEMBLY BAYONNE Change is about to come, and it s going to bring many very good things for the citizens of the 31 st legislative district in Hudson County, said Assemblyman Declan O Scanlon. Assemblyman O Scanlon today announced his strong support for Bayonne resident Matthew Kopko, candidate for the 31 st LD Assembly, not only endorsing him, but calling on all his colleagues in the both houses of the state s legislature and voters of the district to do so as well. I can t begin to say how important it is for the voters of the 31 st legislative district in Hudson County to go out and vote for Matt Kopko on November 3 rd. Matt not only brings a wide array of skills and experiences, he brings the passion of someone who wants to make an impact for the people he serves. In my conversations with him, I see someone who will help tackle some of the most pressing and difficult issues we deal with in Trenton. First off, from anyone who meets him, it is apparent that Matt truly cares for the people. His background and experience as a lawyer who helps countless people through his pro bono work is an added dimension. His keen understanding of the complexities of high-finance deal-making will also be an added bonus. He also shares with me the same attention to detail that will bring a better way of life for all New Jerseyans. I can t remember the last time a candidate for Assembly and I were able to speak at such length and in such detail about legislative action before the Legislature. By way of example, Assemblyman O Scanlon touted proof of Matt Kopko s already long list of accomplishments for someone who is still under 30 years old. Kopko is an attorney at one of the most prestigious law firms in the nation. He was raised in New Jersey and went to school at Princeton University. He also has extensive
experience founding and growing business start-ups, and is commended by the New York Bar for his outstanding service of the poor and under-represented through his pro bono work. I want to thank Assemblyman O Scanlon for not only his support of my efforts in this campaign, but for his deep belief in me and for what I stand for. I know that if elected I will have a great partner in the assembly who will work for me to bring about positive change for all New Jerseyans. Assemblyman O Scanlon shares the same aspirations that I do. We both want a safer, stronger, better New Jersey, where people live in a state that they re proud of, able to educate their children in quality schools, have long-term employment opportunities and lead prosperous lives. That s something I will dedicate myself to and do so tirelessly, and hope to join Assemblyman O Scanlon who has already begun to do so.
