Starting schedule: November 29 nd at 5pm (the 1 st round will be made public at 2pm), remaining days at 4.30pm. There will be two rounds (morning and evening) on December 1 th. UP TO FOUR BYES CAN BE REQUESTED. Participation is allowed for players WITHOUT ELO FIDE and with an ELO FIDE under 2,000 who have no types of title such as CM, MF, MI, GM or their equivalents in women s titles. Participation in this group is not allowed for any player who has exceeded 2,150 points from January 2003 inclusive, as long as this can be verified on the FIDE website. Participation in this group is equally not allowed for any player who has exceeded 2,080 points since January 2008 inclusive, as long as this can be verified on the FIDE website. The following rules will be additionally applied: Elo fide is obligatory not to exceed 1,999 points. Causes for exemption from the obligation to have an ELO FIDE: a) Spanish players WITHOUT ELO FIDE can participate if they are affiliated to the Federation. b) Foreign players WITHOUT ELO FIDE can participate on condition that they have a FIDE code or are Under-16. But, in both previous cases, can not have 2000 FEDA rating or higher. Nor can you have a block of ELO FIDE 2000 or higher, or more blocks of ELO FIDE arithmetic mean results from 2000 or later. IMPORTANT. - The Organization retains the option to include any additional modifications deemed desirable in order to improve the participation of players in this group, that is, aspects affecting the FEDA ELO / FIDE arbitration and any suggestions that will benefit the development of the Festival. The tournament fee constitutes acceptance of these rules. ORGANIZATION RESERVES THE RIGHT OF ADMISSION

Participation is not allowed for those players who have exceeded 2,400 FIDE points at any time during the last 10 years, from January 2003. VI INTERNATIONAL NIGHT TOURNAMENT. Several Tournaments 3 tournaments are established: GROUP A (U-2,300), GROUP B (U-2,000) TOURNAMENT 1: Monday December 2 to 23, hours (7-8 rounds). TOURNAMENT 2: Wednesday December 4 to 23, hours (7-8 rounds). TOURNAMENT 3: Friday December 6 to 23, hours (7-8 rounds). The prizes are the same as the previous tournaments. Includes awards cumulative with those of the general classification, consisting of prizes for the first two groups and Sub12/10 Sub-16/14, plus Trophy for Player 1 Sub-8. This Tournament 3 will have a total of 25 awards. Game pace: 3 + 2 /move REGISTRATIONS: Every day PRIOR to the tournament between 16:30 and 18:00, at the main gate of the amateur tournament. TERMS AND CONDITIONS for ALL events held in the FESTIVAL The official TERMS AND CONDITIONS for the Festival are the ones published on the official website in Spanish, the Organisation assuming no responsibility whatsoever for possible printing or translation mistakes. The participant has an obligation to check his/her data and byes on the lists which are published from September. Please check ELOs, category, name, etc... When a player enrols in any tournament, the referees will carry out the corresponding verifications of ELO, AGE, etc. Despite the above, the participant is not exempted from his/her own responsibility to register in the right group. If it is discovered during the tournament that any player is registered in a group which does not correspond to him/her, they will be expelled or changed to another group depending on what is possible. Defaults: Default in 2 games WITH or WITHOUT a justification implies elimination from the tournament. UNJUSTIFIED default in ONE round will be regarded as withdrawal from the tournament. Contacting the organisation before the end of the round in progress to communicate the wish to continue in the tournament is necessary to justify a default and therefore have the possibility of being paired off for the next round. It is forbidden to have telephones, mobiles or any other electronic means of communication inside the playing premises during a game without the referee s permission, unless they are totally disconnected. If such a device makes a noise, the player will lose his/her game. Any players who are discovered using electronic devices which permit to receive some type of chess help with their game in progress (computers, PDA or the like) will be immediately expelled from the competition with no right to the reimbursement of any amounts whatsoever. Similarly, should there be suspicion, refusing to fulfil the referees requirements will entail expulsion. Tie-breaks: They will be applied in this order in all Festival tournaments which do not have a league system, except for Spanish Championships. 1) Bucholz FIDE minus 2 worst results 2) Total Bucholz FIDE 3) Progressive 4) Particular (Only in the case when all tied players who are level in previous tie-breaks whether they are two or more have played against one another when all tied players have played against one another ). 5) Draw For the purposes of calculating the Bucholz systems, all unplayed games will be considered tied. Appeals Committee: DEPOSIT: In order to lodge a complaint, players will have to do it in writing and will have to make a deposit of 50 euros for the organisation that will be lost if the decision is negative. In fast game tournaments, it will not be possible to appeal against the decisions made by the main referee at that tournament.

At tournament/s when an issue has to be resolved by the Appeals Committee, the organisation will be able to decide if the pairing is done before or after that decision, which means that the said pairing would not be modified later, though the result of the appealed game or games would. Game pace: 90 + 30 /move. (not applicable to fast game tournaments) ATTENTION, BYES (not applicable to fast game tournaments) AMATEURS: Half-point Byes can be requested for neither of the last two tournament rounds. 0- point byes can be requested. NEW GENERATIONS: Half-point Byes cannot be requested for the last tournament round. 0-point byes can be requested. How to request a bye: bye-bali@ajedrezvalenciano.com. It is essential to have made the registration deposit in order to apply for a bye before the beginning of the first round. WRITING DOWN THE MOVES: It is compulsory to write down ALL MOVES. ELO: Slow game tournaments are valid for ELO FIDE and FEDA Players cannot choose the prize. Prizes cannot be accumulated. The one worth the most in cash will be delivered. If cash prizes are the same, the one which has a trophy will be assigned. Prize presentation will take place on December 8 th at about 2pm. The prize will not be given to anyone in advance the previous day. Participants in the tournament authorize the publication of personal data in the different media that the organization deems appropriate for the necessary dissemination of the event (lists of results, rankings, players, games, relays, etc..). Apart from the restrictions in the rules of each tournament, the organizers reserve the right to prevent the participation of players based on other criteria, such as sudden drops in the lists before the dispute Elo tournament, strange Elo downs in certain tournaments, etc.. IMPORTANT.- The ORGANISATION reserves the option to include any additional modification that is considered appropriate in order to improve the participation of players in this group, i.e. aspects that affect the ELO FEDA/FIDE and any referee suggestion which redounds to the benefit of the Festival. THE ORGANISATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ADMISSION
