PIPELINE TECHNIQUE COATING DIVISION At Pipeline Technique we have been providing Field Joint Coating services to Onshore, Offshore, Multijointing, Custom Coating and Spool Base projects worldwide since 2000 for our parent company, Heerema Marine Contractors. Our Coating division has developed into a well-knit team that offers FJC solutions to the worldwide onshore and offshore pipeline market. People and Training We consider people to be our greatest asset; with key personnel having the necessary ability and experience not only to deliver FJC projects safely, successfully, on time and in full, but also ensuring all personnel are suitably trained in all aspects of their role. Proud members of NACE and ICORR, we also run an ICATS applicator training programme in parallel to an in-house operator training scheme. Innovation & Development With the challenging times seen in the industry, Pipeline Technique is innovating and actively developing new FJC solutions to reduce costs and maintain safety and quality. We have developed automatic and semiautomatic application methods that allow synergy with operators.
SPECIALIST FACILITIES Coating Centre Our purpose - built coating centre at our UK headquarters contains a simulated firing line (up to 20 OD) and manipulating arm, for PQT s and in-house training of operators. The work floor is serviced by a 10T overhead crane, and it is possible to conduct multiple coating operations simultaneously as well as for larger OD pipe. We have the capacity to cut pipe up to 24 and can remove coatings up to 20 OD with glacier tools. The coating facility houses state of the art FJC equipment for automatic Closed Cycle Abrasive Blasting, Induction heating, powder application, High Density Polyurethane Foam, Injection Moulded Polyurethane and ancillary kit.
protecting your investment COATING EQUIPMENT & CAPABILITIES Application Equipment The application equipment adopted by Pipeline Technique is based on pre - programmable, automated techniques, providing repeatable application methods both Onshore and Offshore. Applications include an array of specialist equipment to apply standard and specialist materials for corrosion protection, mechanical protection and insulation. Our coating equipment is designed for ease of use and does not require a specialist operator. A further benefit of our equipment provides is that it is environmentally friendly, with no chemical waste produced.
