Sew (1) 1 ½ x 8 ½ Fabric strip to each side of (1) 8 ½ Fabric A block. Sew (1) 1 ½ x 10 ½ Fabric strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A block. Trim the block to measure 9 ½ square to make (1) Unit 1 block (Fig. 1). Repeat to make (12) Unit 1 blocks total. Sew (1) 2 x 9 ½ Fabric strip to each side of (1) Unit 1 block. Sew (1) 2 Fabric square to each end of (1) 2 x 9 ½ Fabric strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew across the diagonal of the smaller square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 3). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 4). Follow Figure 5 for the seam direction to add a 2 ½ Fabric square to each of the remaining corners of the 4 ½ Fabric F square to make (1) Unit 2 block (Fig. 6). 5. Repeat Steps 3-4 to make (17) Unit 2 blocks total. Unit 2 F Fig. 6 6. Repeat Steps 3-4 using (17) 4 ½ Fabric G squares and (68) 2 ½ Fabric squares to make (17) Unit 3 blocks (Fig. 7). 7. Repeat to (4) pieced rows total. 12. Sew the (4) pieced rows and (3) sashing strips together, alternating them, to make the enter lock. 13. Sew (12) 1 ½ x 60 ½ Fabric K strip to each side of the enter lock. Sew (1) 1 ½ x 46 ½ Fabric K strip to the top and to the bottom of the enter lock. 14. Sew (1) 6 ½ x 62 ½ Fabric strip to each side of the enter lock. Sew (1) lock Three to each end of (1) 6 ½ x 46 ½ Fabric strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the enter lock to make the quilt top. 15. Layer and quilt as desired. 16. Sew the (7) 2 ½ x WOF Fabric K strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press. 17. ind as desired. lock Three make 4 10.
