Join the Tech Loader Team Greater Philadelphia region. Tech Loaders will prepare donated computers before the event begins so that our devices are ready to be used for gaming. PCCY wants to be sure no child is excluded because they don t have a device they can bring with them. Ideal Tech Loaders would be familiar with downloading and installing software on personal computers and mobile devices and configuring computers to locate a specified Wi-Fi access point, a unique server address and make them game ready for the STEMCraft gamers. Friday, October 5 th 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm Saturday, October 6 th 6:00 am to 9:00 am

Join the Set-Up Team PCCY is hosting a gaming event on Saturday, October 6, 2018 for of children from across the Greater Philadelphia region. To be ready for our gamers, volunteers on the Set-Up Team will assist in putting the pieces in place to ready our gaming spaces. Set-up tasks include arranging power strip access for gamers and taping the strips down to the floor to keep our participants safe from tripping and setting up donated laptop computers. Signage and supplies must be distributed and arranged across the many gaming and activity venues. Ideal Set-Up Team members are mid-day volunteers on Friday or early risers on Saturday morning who like to help create welcoming spaces. Some light lifting is likely to be required. Friday, October 5 th 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm Saturday, October 6 th 6:00 am to 9:00 am

Join the Registration Team Greater Philadelphia region. Be the first person to welcome children and families to STEMCraft as member of a fast-paced and friendly check-in process that scans tickets, assigns room numbers and registers walk-in participants. The Registration Team is a good fit if you are familiar with a computer keyboard or a smart phone and are eager to welcome hundreds of children and their parents who are looking forward to a day of gaming and fun. Volunteers on this team need patience and, in spite of lots of excitement, must not be easily flustered. Saturday, October 6 th 8:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday, October 6 th 11:30 pm to 2:30 pm Saturday, October 6 th 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Join the Team of Guides PCCY is hosting a gaming event on Saturday, October 6, 2018 for of children from across the Greater Philadelphia region. Guides greet children and families as they register for the event an orient them to the schedule of the day, the lay of the land and escort children to their gaming session. Guides are the lifeline of this event, able to tell families where the restroom facilities are located, where and when food and beverages are available and what activities are taking place. Guides will be the go to contact for participants with key information to help navigate the many events throughout the day. If you like children, like to meet new people, and would enjoy guiding groups across a small college campus, this is an ideal volunteer opportunity. Saturday, October 6 th 8:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday, October 6 th 11:30 pm to 2:30 pm Saturday, October 6 th 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Join the Gaming Leader Team Greater Philadelphia region. Gaming Leaders will guide children in the fun scripted build challenges, help explore the world of Minecraft, and enable children to collaboratively build the world they want to see. Each Gaming Leader will work with children in classrooms. We especially need Gaming Leaders who have a decent understanding of Minecraft. In addition to being experienced in building in Minecraft, Gaming Leaders must be outgoing and interested in working with children to encourage them to be creative and collaborative. (Gaming Leaders will be supported by two or three Tech Advisor Team members.) Saturday, October 6 th 8:00 am to 12:00 pm Saturday, October 6 th 11:30 am to 3:30 pm Saturday, October 6 th 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Join the Tech Advisor Team Greater Philadelphia region. Tech Advisors will work in pairs to ensure children have a positive gaming experience by providing technical support to gaming groups of students. Tech Advisors will help children who are having trouble making Wi-Fi connections or are confused by the processes of signing on to the gaming server. We ve found that some children may need assistance from the Tech Advisors to learn how to set up their device in a location other than home. Tech Advisors must have a have a good understanding of personal computers and some experience with gaming, specifically Minecraft, is a plus but not necessary. Tech Advisors must be patient and enjoy working with children. Saturday, October 6 th 8:00 am to 12:00 pm Saturday, October 6 th 11:30 am to 3:30 pm Saturday, October 6 th 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Join the STEM Fair Team Greater Philadelphia region. STEM Fair Team Members will have fun with kids as they do the mostly non-gamer activities. PCCY s STEM Fair will feature karaoke, a giant chutes and ladders game, photo booths, arts and crafts activities, live music and so much more! STEM Fair Team Members are not just the center of the action but they are helping to create the action. You should enjoy working with kids of all ages and abilities. We need volunteers who can be friendly and outgoing and, encourage kids to be creative while maintaining a level of safety while at play. Saturday, October 6 th 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Saturday, October 6 th 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Join the Wrap Up Team Greater Philadelphia region. Once our event is over we need help making sure we leave the in tip top shape. Wrap-Up Team Members will safely help remove all gaming items from the classrooms including donated laptops and power strips. In addition, volunteers will collect our signs and any remaining supplies from the many gaming and activity areas in the building. Ideal Wrap-Up Team members are good collaborative people who like to make sure spaces are clutter free and clean. Some light lifting may be required. Shift: Saturday, October 6 th 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm
