Anti-static for less clogging The Bona Abrasives range includes products with anti-static properties, which repel dust from the disc surface. Dust is then more easily contained within the DCS system, improving working conditions for the contractor. Reversible Due to the unique Bona finger joint, the belt abrasives last up to 3 times as long as other abrasives. Unlike other brands, Bona s abrasive belts can be run in both directions so both sides of the abrasive particles are used. High-performance abrasives for a perfect surface finish Bona 8300 Zircon-Mix Bona 8700 Ceramic-Mix This is a premium abrasive made from zirconium mix that combines aggressive performance with a smooth surface finish. Bona 8300 abrasives offer high durability and have an antistatic coating to reduce clogging, maintain a cooler, longer runtime and enhance dust extraction. The self sharpening properties of the grit used ensures that aggressive sanding can be maintained throughout the lifetime of the abrasive. Bona 8300 abrasives were tested against the competition in Stuttgart, Germany in 2014. The Bona product proved to be longer lasting, faster and delivered a smoother, more even surface than any other zirconium mix brand. A superior abrasive made from ceramic grit and designed for easy removal of hard lacquer, carpet adhesive residue and smoothing very uneven floors. When used together with Bona 8300 abrasives, you have a system that combines high performance sanding with an excellent surface finish. The ceramic grit used in the production of these superior abrasives are almost as hard as diamonds and are therefore extremely long lasting and highly durable. The Stuttgart Test The test was conducted on a large site with 800m2 of oak floor that had been previously coated with a 2-component finish. We measured durability (lifetime of abrasives), speed (time spent abrading the surface) and performance (quality of abraded surface). We tested other commonly used leading brands of abrasives, in a variety of grit sizes and categories, from standard, medium and premium grades and different abrasive mixes such as zirconium, ceramic and silicon carbide.
