Hands in Clay www.handsinclayjo.wordpress.com Janice Fulton 601.519.5562 call or text info@claymoontile.com Making your ceramic impressions are fun and easy to do. It s a great way to cherish a special time in a child s life. Set up a time and come by the studio and we ll get the process started. All you have to do is provide the hands and feet, and we do all the rest. Once your impressions are made, it takes 2-6 weeks to complete your order. Your impressions are cut out and shaped to your specifications, dried, fired, glazed, and fired again. They are treasures that will last forever. Your impression are handmade and painted, they will be unlike any other. If you can t make it to the studio flip over to the Home Impression making guide on page 7. Follow the steps and send back your impressions. This option is great for newborns and small children. Please do not hesitate to email or call if you have any questions. Gift Certificates are available. Please allow 2 weeks for delivery by mail, pickups can be made by calling in. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the high volume of appointments and prints being made, please be aware that OCTOBER 15 th, 2013 is the LAST day to make prints before Christmas. Thanks for your understanding and patience. Lots of time and love goes into making each print. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for daily updates and news! Facebook Hands in Clay and on Instagram handsinclayjo 2

Angels Angels are painted with 2 colors and priced by number or impressions and size of finished piece Small (NB) Ornament or mounted 20.00 Raised 4 print angel- 1child Thumb, hands, and feet 65.00 2 print angel- 1 child Thumb and hand 28.00 Flat Newborn 4 print (must be made from a mold of one hand) 60.00 Large child or adult angel (LARGE hands over 5 ) flat or raised 80.00 One or multiple child- 4 print hands, thumb, foot 65.00 One or multiple child- 5 print- thumb, hands, feet- 85.00 If you would like an angel mounted on wood with a hanger, add $15.00 per piece Special Christmas Ornaments One hand angel (photo soon) 25.00 25.00 25.00 3

Holiday Pieces We can customize any holiday you d like. We can do angels for Christmas and Easter, hearts for Valentine s Day, turkeys for Thanksgiving, ghosts for Halloween, or anything else you can dream up. Santa Cookie Platter with Santa Hand in the middle Reindeer Snack Platter with Reindeer Hand in the middle 8 circular or square plate $50.00 Reindeer cutout- can be mounted on wood, any color border $80.00 Reindeer Platter LARGE 20.00 per print plus 40.00 Heart Plaque 45.00 Birds and Owls Birds and Owls are patterned with lots of color. Choose your own colors and design. Prices vary depending on the size of your child s hand. 20.00 per print plus 15.00 per child with 5 and under hand. Add 20.0 for 5 and up. Example: small bird with one print is 35.00. 4

Platters, Plaques, Stepping Stones, Wall Hangings Since platters and plaques have a larger surface area, they require more clay and glaze. They also have a higher chance of cracking in the kiln. I recommend a mold be made of your prints just in case. Cost per platter and plaque are as follows: 20.00 per print plus 20.00 under 8 or 30.00 for 8-12 or 40.00 for 12 plus Extra pricing includes under 4 colors, patterns, shaping, and any special instructions 5

Single Prints We can print anything you d like! Animal prints are no exception. Cost of a single print with one color is $20.00. Smaller hands work better for ornaments as larger hands and feet tend to get pretty heavy. Add an extra $5.00 for color and lettering. Single prints can be mounted together on wood as a wall hanging. 6

Home Impression Making Guide If you are out of our area and would like to make an impression, follow these guidelines and we can get your print poured and created. This method takes an extra few weeks to create since the plaster molding material has to be poured into your print. 1. Purchase Crayola model magic material. I have found it is the BEST material for impressions can be found at Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, and Micheal s. I do not purchase this and mail it out anymore due to the high number or nonserious inquiries we get. It also cuts down on your cost. Make sure you buy enough to make a deep impression. 2. Flatten your Crayola Model magic with a rolling pin or the palm of your hand forming a pancake shape. Place it on a piece of plastic wrap or wax paper. Use warm water to smooth any cracks in the top of the print. Press your child s or animal s paw, hand, or foot into the center of the modeling material making sure you press firmly and deeply so that plaster can be poured into the print evenly. If for some reason it messes up, fold it back together and start over.. 3. Once your prints are made, set them still on the plastic wrap and sit out over night to harden a little bit. 4. Place your print inside a Tupperware container, close. Fill out the form below and email me so I can give you and address and so that I ll know to be expecting your prints. Please mail priority so we get them quickly. If you are doing more than one thing, you only need to make prints of one hand, foot, etc. The plaster mold can be reused each time. Once I receive your impressions, I ll give you a call and double check your order. If you have any problems, please call and I will do my best to walk you through the process. Thanks, Janice 601.519.5562 info@claymoontile.com 7

Fill out and return this form with your prints. Once your prints are made I will calculate shipping costs, etc. and you can give a cc over the phone or mail a check for the full amount. Name: Email: Daytime Phone: What do you want to make? Name of child/children Example: 1 child 3 print angel with hands Ava and foot of Aidan s 1. 5. 2. 6. 3. 7. 4. 8. Special colors and instructions: Are these items for Christmas? Y/N (all Christmas orders must be postmarked by October 15 th ) Where do you want these prints to be mailed to? Is this your personal address? Do you want me to save your mold for future projects? 8

Host a Party or Gathering If you live in the Jackson metro area, I ll be glad to set up a time and come to visit your church group, birthday party, or neighborhood. Please give me an idea of when you would like for me to come and I ll do my best to work your group in. Please remember if you want Christmas ornaments and gifts, these must be made before October 15 th, 2013. Your prints, under $80.00 total, will be free as long as your group spends $600.00 or more. You MUST book your party before September 15 th, 2013. Please text, email, or give me a call as soon as possible. 9
