To the right is a list of the Lumber, Hardware/Supplies, and Tools you will need to complete this project. A measuring tape and pencil are not included because that should be pretty standard and self explanatory. Below What You'll Need is the Parts list. This also is included on the Cutting Diagram page, which is the next to last page of this plan document. Also on the Cutting Diagram page is an estimate of the cost of the lumber. Layout Foot Leg Use the layouts as guides for measuring, marking, cutting (using a jigsaw), and drilling pocket holes in the Legs. Be sure to set your pocket hole jig and drill bit for 3/4-inch stock. Make two Legs from each layout (total of four parts). Page 2

Layout Position the parts as shown above and attach using glue and 1 1/4-inch pocket hole screws. Create two assemblies. Top Side Rail Bottom Side Rail Use the layouts as guides for measuring, marking, cutting, and drilling pocket holes in the Top Side Rails and Bottom Side Rails. Be sure to set your pocket hole jig and drill bit for 3/4-inch stock. Page 3

Layout End Rail Stretcher Use the layouts as guides for measuring, marking, cutting, and drilling pocket holes in the End Rails and Stretcher. Be sure to set your pocket hole jig and drill bit for 3/4-inch stock. Position the parts as shown below and attach using glue and 1 1/4-inch pocket hole screws. Page 4

Position the parts as shown at right and below attach using glue and 1 1/4-inch pocket hole screws. Use a square to keep the Top Side Rails and Bottom Rail Assembly at the correct angle. Clamp the parts in place while driving the screws. Page 5

Layout Seat Use the layout as a guide for measuring, marking, and cutting the Seat. Position the Seat as shown at right and attach using glue and 1 1/4-inch pocket hole screws. Page 6

Layout Center Slat Use the layout as a guide for measuring, marking, and cutting the Center Slat. Position the Center Slat as shown above and attach using glue and 1 1/4-inch pocket hole screws. Page 7

Position the Slats as shown at right and below and attach to using glue and 1 1/4-inch pocket hole screws. Page 8

Position the Handle parts as shown at right, apply glue to two faces, clamp together and allow the glue to dry. Then cut a 45-degree miter on each end as shown at right. (Measure 3/4-inch in from the end and from the face.) Create two assemblies. Position the Handle Assembly as shown below and attach using glue and 2-inch wood screws. Drive the screws through the Leg Assembly and into the Handle Assembly. Repeat on the other side. Page 9
