2" (5mm) MIN. INSTALL TUB FILLER FLOOR SUPPORT CAUTION Turn off hot and cold water supplies before beginning. Note: Refer to Roughing-in Dimensions on page for additional information. Adequate floor support is required. The WOOD SUPPORT () must be a minimum of 2" (5mm) thick by 0" (254mm) wide. 2x6 lumber is NOT adequate for this application. Locate WOOD SUPPORT () between floor joists keeping a minimum distance of 2-/4" (70mm) from the top surface of wood support to the finished floor. IMPORTANT: Use a ROUND BUBBLE LEVEL (2) to level the WOOD SUPPORT (). The WOOD SUPPORT () must be perfectly level. Secure WOOD SUPPORT () to floor joists. Check for level again. FINISHED FLOOR LINE 0"-2" (254-05mm) WOOD SUPPORT 2 ROUND BUBBLE LEVEL 2-/4" (70mm) MIN. 0" (254mm) MIN. FLOOR JOIST 2 INSTALL AND WATER SUPPLIES Sweat together Hot and Cold Supply assemblies. Apply sealing tape to threaded connections. Thread supply assemblies into rough-in valve inlets. The Hot inlet will be on the left when facing the front of the Tub Filler. Note: The Hot and Cold inlets are marked on the maniflod. See View A. SEALING TAPE View A SUPPLY ASSEMBLY 2
INSTALL ROUGH-IN VALVE Locate the position on the wood support where the ROUGH-IN VALVE () will be installed. Use the ROUGH-IN VALVE () as a guide to mark the four mounting hole locations. Fig.. Remove ROUGH-IN VALVE () and drill four pilot holes of /8" (9mm) in diameter. Fig 2. Install the 4 MOUNTING SCREWS (2) into wood support. Install ROUGH-IN VALVE () onto the 4 MOUNTING SCREWS (2) and tighten NUTS & WASHERS (2) supplied. *Important: of ROUGH-IN VALVE () must face bath rim. Figure. NOTE: IF INSTALLING ON A CONCRETE SLAB Drill four pilot holes of 2.5mm (/2") in diameter. Insert a concrete anchor in each pilot hole. Install the 4 MOUNTING SCREWS (2) into the 4 concrete anchors. Tighten NUTS & WASHERS (2) supplied. * Concrete anchor not included. But available commercially. Concrete Anchor S2 (2mm) 2 FRON T FRON T Fig. 2 Fig. 4 LEVEL ROUGH-IN VALVE Check that top of the ROUGH-IN VALVE () is level in all directions. If the ROUGH-IN VALVE () is not level follow the steps below.. Loosen the four MOUNTING NUTS (2). 2. Adjust the LEVELING NUTS (2a) until the TUB FILLER is level in all directions.. Tighten the four MOUNTING NUTS (2) and check that thetub FILLER is still level. If adjustment is still required loosen MOUNTING NUTS (2) and adjust LEVELING NUTS (2a). Verify that the ROUGH-IN VALVE () is level and then fully tighten NUTS & WEASHERS (2). FINISH PLUMBING CONNECTIONS Complete all Hot and Cold supply connections. Turn on water supplies and ckeck for leaks. MOUNTING NUT 2 LOCK WASHER FLAT WASHER *FRO NT LEVELING NUT 2a MOUNTING SCREW
5 FINISH FLOOR INSTALLATION Complete the installation of the Finished Floor. Tile as close to the PLASTER GUARD () as you can. Caulk between Finished Floor and PLASTER GUARD (). FINISHED FLOOR ROUGH FLOOR 6 REMOVE EXPOSED PLASTER GUARD Cut the exposed part of the PLASTER GUARD () flush with the finished floor. Be careful not not damage the floor. FINISHED FLOOR 4
7 REMOVE RETAINING PLATE AND SCREWS Remove the SIX RETAINING PLATE SCREWS (4) with a (5mm) hex wrench. Remove RETAINING PLATE (5). 5mm HEX WRENCH 5 4 FINISHED FLOOR 8 REMOVE AND TEST PLUGS Note: Floor is not shown for clarity in this illustration. Remove the two TEST PLUGS (6) with a (6mm) hex wrench. 6mm HEX WRENCH 6 5
9 INSTALL TUB FILLER Before final installation, check that all sealing surfaces are clean and that the INLET HOSE O-RINGS (7) are not damaged. Important: INLET HOSE O-RINGS (7) can be damaged if caution is not used when installing. Match inlet hose marked with a blue dot to the hole on the manifold also marked with blue dot. (VIEW A ) 7 (VIEW A ) 8 Install the INLET HOSES (8) into the MANIFOLD MOUNTING BASE (9). 9 RED DOT BLUE DOT RED DOT () (VIEW A ) BLUE DOT () 9a INSTALL TUB FILLER Note: A minimum of four MOUNTING SCREWS (0) are required to secure the tub filler. All six are preferred. Install the MOUNTING SCREWS (0) through the MOUNTING PLATE () and into the manifold base. Do not fully tighten. Rotate the TUB FILLER (2) right or left to align with Tub. Tighten MOUNTING SCREWS (0) with 5 mm Hex Wrench to secure TUB FILLER (2). 5 mm HEX WRENCH 2 0 6
9b INSTALL SPOUT AND HAND SHOWER Align PIN () in FAUCET BASE (4) with HOLE (5) in SPOUT BASE (6). Install SPOUT (7) into FAUCET BASE (4). Tighten the two SET SCREWS (8). Install SEALS (9) on both ends of the SPRAY HOSE (20). Connect the end with the hex to the DIVERTER (2) using an adjustable wrench. Hand tighten the connection to the HAND SHOWER (22). Note: When not in use, the HAND SHOWER (22) should be seated in the SHOWER HOLDER (2). 6 5 7 O-Rings 7 TEST INSTALLED FAUCET Move HANDLE (24) onto off position. Turn on water supplies and check all connections for leaks. Check MANIFOLD (25) connections for leaks. Apply sealant to underside edge of ESCUTCHEON (26). Slide ESCUTCHEON (26) down to finished floor. Press into place. Clean up excess sealant. Operate HANDLE (24) On to Off and Hot to Cold to flush water lines thoroughly. Lift HAND SHOWER (22) from the HOLDER (2) and direct spray into tub. Rotate DIVERTER KNOB (27) and check HAND SHOWER (22) and SPRAY HOSE (20) connections for leaks. Rotate DIVERTER KNOB (27) back and place HAND SHOWER (22) into HOLDER (2). 8 4 APPLY SEALANT 27 2 2 22 9 20 24 26 FINISHED FLOOR 25 7
