findagrave.com West Columbia cemetery Memories Henry Hanson: Marion Levern Reeves had on his tombstone (Dago) Reeves. That is the name my father used when he referred to Marion. Dago had a camp on Matagorda Peninsular on Matagorda East Bay near Mitchells cut. He built a wooden floor about 40 x40 from drift wood. A storm washed it away before he ever completed the house. The location was prime location to put out trot lines and flounder. Near that location was a artesian well that supplied fresh water to the cattle that wintered there and several time we camped there when I was young. My Dad would take my brother and I on a fishing and camping trip every summer. We always headed to Dago Reeves place.
