Follow Figure 1 and sew (2) 3 ½ Fabric A squares, (2) 3 ½ Fabric squares, (2) 3 ½ Fabric C squares (2) 3 ½ Fabric D squares and (1) 3 ½ Fabric S square together to make (1) lock ne. Repeat to make (28) lock nes total. lock ne make 28 A C D S D 2. Following the C A manufacturer s instructions, trace the listed number of each Fig. 1 template onto the paper side of the fusible web. Roughly cut out each template about ⅛ outside the drawn lines. 3. Press each template onto the wrong side of the fabrics as listed on the templates. Cut out each template on the drawn lines. Page 2 7. Repeat Steps 4-5 using the remaining large petals, large Fabric R centers and the (28) P lock Twos (Fig. 4). R 8. Follow Figure 5 and sew C (1) 2 ½ Fabric E square, (1) 2 ½ Fabric F square, (1) 2 ½ Fabric G square, Q (1) 2 ½ Fabric H square, (1) 2 ½ Fabric I square, Fig. 4 (1) 2 ½ Fabric J square, (1) 2 ½ Fabric K square, (1) 2 ½ Fabric L square and (1) 2 ½ Fabric M square together to make (1) Corner lock. Repeat to make (4) Corner locks total. 9. Repeat Steps 4-5 using the assorted small petals, Fabric R small centers and the (4) Corner locks (Fig. 6). Corner locks make 4 4. Refer to the quilt photo to arrange and press (6) assorted large petals and (1) large Fabric R center onto (1) lock ne. Repeat with the remaining large petals, Fabric R large centers and the remaining lock nes. 5. Finish the raw edges of each shape with a decorative stitch such as a buttonhole or satin stitch to finish (28) lock nes (Fig. 2). Follow Figure 3 and sew (1) 3 ½ Fabric E square, (1) 3 ½ Fabric F square, (1) 3 ½ Fabric G square, (1) 3 ½ Fabric H square, (1) 3 ½ Fabric I square (1) 3 ½ Fabric J square, (1) 3 ½ Fabric K square, (1) 3 ½ Fabric L square and (1) 3 ½ Fabric M square together to make (1) lock Two. Sew (1) 2 x 72 ½ Fabric strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 2 x 66 ½ Fabric strip to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top. 14. Sew (1) 6 ½ x 75 ½ Fabric strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) Corner lock to each end of (1) 6 ½ x 66 ½ Fabric strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top. 15. Layer and quilt as desired.
