M+R: WHY PARTICIPATE? Six A-players give the answer! Antwerp, 10th November 2016 - M+R promises to live up to its reputation of being the ultimate event in Belgium for measurement and regulation technology in 2017 as well. Five months before the start already more than half of the exhibition space has been booked. This means that visitors can again expect a comprehensive presentation of solutions and novelties. Of course, the question is why so many exhibitors consider M+R as a perfect opportunity to present their products. To find out, we brought together six players who have been established values at M+R for years. With M+R, Easyfairs presents a highly targeted fair for those who work with measurement and regulation technology. The concept is well appreciated by both visitors and exhibitors. That is proven at each edition by the increasing number of participants. Therefore, for the providers of these solutions this fair is a godsend. As a manufacturer and supplier of measurement equipment, it is not always easy to present your products to a wide audience. M+R is one of the few trade fairs in Europe that really focuses on our target audience, says Stefaan Van Durme, Sales Manager Krohne Belux. That is why we have been present at the event since its first edition. Our participation has always been a great success. That is not a surprise since M+R offers a perfect opportunity to meet existing customers, make new contacts, showcase innovations and, of course, sneak a peek how the competitors are doing. Marcom Manager Herwin Standaert from Emerson fully agrees: All the other trade fairs only respond to a part of our portfolio, whereas M+R fully and exclusively focuses on our business. That s what makes participation in this event always profitable for us. Of course, everyone should make their own cost-benefit analysis. So do we, but so far the balance has always turned out to be very positive. For us, M+R is really the place to be to maintain the relationships with our customers.
Magnetrol too has been participating since 2001. For us, M+R is the perfect meeting place with the process, project and field engineers who work with our devices. The relational aspect of the fair is very important: it is the perfect opportunity to welcome our customers and new contacts to the stand, says Sales Engineer Belgium, Staf Schelkens. Close to important target groups Not only the focus of the fair seems to be an important factor for the exhibitors. The location also contributes to M+R s success. As Ludo Van Eeckhoudt, Sales Manager of Siemens, nicely summarizes: M+R is the ultimate event when it comes to process instrumentation. That the trade fair is held in Antwerp is a plus. Because near the port, one of world s largest chemistry clusters, you naturally reach an incredibly large group of users. In other words, you can be sure that the audience meets the target profile for almost 100%. Endress+Hauser totally agrees: Antwerp is the perfect location to reach an important segment of our market: chemistry, petrochemistry and logistics, both for bulk storage and handling. Therefore, our stand will be specifically tailored to that audience in 2017, explains Marketing Manager Chris Durie. For us, it is actually a no brainer to participate in M+R. The fair theme is fully in line with our company. This way, Endress + Hauser gets a platform to show the latest developments in process and measurement equipment to the public. And there are quite some. Contrary to what many believe, process instrumentation is not a stagnant technology. M+R is always a source of inspiration, both for exhibitors and visitors. Another company that cannot remember a time without M+R is Retec. Managing Director David Vervaele: Maintenance technicians and managers can discover all innovations and meet their regular partners in one day. With the Learn Shops, Easyfairs brings also a nice selection of interesting topics so you can always learn something from the specialists. Moreover, such event is the perfect opportunity to expand your network.
For anyone who is interested in measuring and regulation technology Which profiles do M+R s exhibitors expect? The answer is unanimous: the fair attracts the right visitors. Stefaan Van Durme: You can always expect a wide range of profiles: E&I and technical managers, project managers, purchasers. Those people are often working on projects. And at M+R they can brainstorm on those together with suppliers. Over the years, we have also noticed that the visitors find it extremely interesting to see a showcase of our wide range of products. Herwin Standaert: All departments of a company find their liking at M+R: operators, E&I engineers, safety and energy managers, maintenance and reliability departments, all the way up to the executive managers. Ludo Van Eeckhoudt adds: Since the greatest range of process instrumentation is gathered under one roof, everyone who needs measurement instrumentation should pay a visit to M+R. Also for the real users Nevertheless, the exhibitors find that too many interested parties miss the opportunity to get a complete overview in one day of what is happening in the sector. Chris Durie explains: At M+R we typically meet the more technical profiles: maintenance technicians, engineers and their immediate supervisors. Given the recent technological developments however, we would also recommend the technical and (bulk) logistics managers as well as the engineering managers to come and take a look. After all, smart instrumentation with digital communication technology provides important data. Not only for process regulation, but also for safety, energy management, condition monitoring, diagnostics, etc. The decision to use these types of resources in order to save is often made at the level of these people. For Managing Director Katrien Miechielssens of Retec too, it is clear that everyone who is involved in keeping a production running should come to M+R. Even the smaller installers who have SMEs as regular customers for small and large installations can learn a lot at this event. Of course, also project engineers who are responsible for the design and implementation of new production environments can shoot their questions at the fair. We ourselves always look forward to seeing many of our loyal customers. During M+R, they come to visit us, rather than vice versa. It is always nice to catch up. After all, at this fair it is not only business that counts, but also the personal contact.
