Sew in ends of the intarsia knitting. Cover with damp cloth and leave until dry. See ball band for washing and further care instructions. INTARSIA KNITTING A separate ball of yarn or bobbin of yarn is used for each block of colour. The yarn is not carried across the back of the work. To avoid a hole where the colours change, you change yarns on the wrong side of the knitting by twisting the new colour around the old colour. The more colour blocks you are knitting, the more helpful using bobbins will be. Wind yarn around the bobbin (a piece of cardboard cut to approximately 8 cm or 3 in). Use one bobbin for each block of colour. The bobbins can hang freely from the back of your work, and as you need to use a colour, you can unwind the amount you need. If you need only a small amount of colour, you can cut lengths of yarn (usually no longer than 90 cm or 36 in) Start the Intarsia charts from bottom right hand corner 1:1. Knit odd numbered rows (right to left) and Purl even numbered rows (left to right). Copyright 2018 iknitdesigns P a g e 9
