PRESIDENT S MESSAGE Tis the season to be thankful. We here at Sycamore Creek have a lot to be thankful for! ~Cat Jackson, PTA President FAREWELL We have had 10 wonderful years with Principal Faircloth! She will be greatly missed but we wish her the best of luck as the new principal of Durant Middle School. NEW PRINCIPAL Thank you so much to those of you who were able to come our input meeting Monday evening with our Area Superintendent, Mr. Seydric Williams. For those of you who were unable to attend the meeting I would like to provide you a link for you to participate in the search for our next principal. Please share your input at: http://tinyurl.comscesinput2017 FUNDRAISERS It is hard to believe that we are almost half way through another school year! This summer and fall were busy with lots of fundraisers. Thank you so much to all of you who participated, volunteered and donated to Sycamore Creek. CROC MILE The Croc Mile was a great success! We raised a little over $57,000! We had a lot of fun watching the classes earn their PledgeMeter incentives. Congratulations to Mrs. Butts, Mrs. Seha, and Ms. Shoenebeck, Mrs. Dragonette, for earning catered lunch as a class. Mrs. El Hicheri, Ms. Woodrow, Mrs. Seha, Ms. Lilley, Mrs. Gruenewald and Mr. Fugazot won Recess Equipment for their class! We were excited to be able to award 20 prizes this year to our raffle winners. Congratulations to all of our Crocs for a job well done! None of this would have been possible if it were not for Theresa Sarmiere s effort and countless hours of volunteering! She has been a great Croc Mile Chair for the last 4 years!! Thank you!! If you are interested in being a part of the Croc Mile Committee next year please email catandryanjackson@yahoo.com MCTEACHER NIGHT McTeacher Night was a lot of fun on November 6th!! We raised over $1,000 in just 3 hours!! Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed the delicious service of Sycamore s staff. GENERAL PTA MEETING We will hold our next General PTA Meeting on Thursday, December 7th at 5:30pm. Following our meeting we will enjoy a Choral Informance by the 4th grade Chorus at 6pm and the 5th grade Chorus at 7pm. COOKIE DRIVE We will hold our annual cookie drive on December 21st (early release before holiday break). Sherry Oliver will collect cookies and deliver them to our local Community Safety locations. You are welcome to drop off your cookie donation during morning or mid-day carpool. If your child rides the bus or is a walker, we will have a cart set up outside the office to collect those donations, children can drop donations off there. I am grateful to be a part of this wonderful school and community! I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and look forward to seeing you in 2018!!
