There are no entry fees for this division. Entries Accepted: 1. Friday, August 3, 2018 from 2 PM to 8:00 PM in the Hobby Hall Department. 2. Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Hobby Hall Department. No Entries will be accepted after 4:00 PM Saturday. Release Times: 1. Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Entries will be checked out in the Hobby Hall Department. No entries will be released before 2:00 PM. 2. Premiums will be withheld and the privilege of showings at future fairs jeopardized by anyone attempting to remove entries prior to 2:00 PM Sunday, August 19, 2018. 3. NO entries will be returned without your claim ticket present. NO Exceptions!! Specific Rules: 1. It is not necessary to pre-enter entries. Forms are available to fill out when you bring in your entries. 2. Limit of (1) one entry per class per exhibitor. 3. Please make sure you fill out the description of your entry on the entry form. 4. All Entries Must Be Clean! No pet Hair. 5. All entries must be the handiwork of the exhibitor. 6. All entries completed during the latter part of last year and during this year will be shown preference. Any article more than 5 years old will be barred from showing except with permission of the superintendent. 7. Articles entered for premiums must be completed projects. No article will be eligible for premium if it has received a prize in previous years at the Clackamas County Fair. 8. Items will be disqualified if they have a price tag. 9. Sets must be pinned together or attached by other means to avoid separation. 10. Juniors may not compete in similar classes in both junior and adult classes. 11. All reasonable care will be exercised to safeguard entries. Clackamas County Fair will not be responsible for loss of or damage of any entry. 12. Submission of entry implies exhibitor s acceptance of the rules. Machine Knit Division 14: Quilt Block Contest The theme for the block is Grow it, Sew it, Show it Put what Grow it, Sew it, Show it! means to you in a quilt block. The blocks may be appliquéd, embroidered, or pieced. The quilt block should be 12 1/2 square from raw edge to raw edge and ready to set in a quilt. The blocks will be judged 50% on originality and 50% on workmanship and will become the property of the Clackamas County Fair. One quilt will be assembled and offered in a Silent Auction at the 2018 Clackamas County Fair. Proceeds will go toward the enhancement of the Textile Department. Class Number: 1.
