Europe s Largest Global Lending and Fintech Event $ $ 9-10 October, 2017 InterContinental London The O2 PRELIMINARY AGENDA lendit.com @lendit #lenditeurope

TRACK AND SESSION DESCRIPTIONS* Below are some of the session highlights you will see at LendIt Europe 2017. Our preliminary agenda is taking shape and we will continue to build out the agenda as we get closer to the event. Day 1 The Cutting Edge in Fintech This track brings you the latest tech developments shaping finance today. Blockchain is in the news all the time now but we will cut through the noise to bring you what is important for fintech companies to know. Artificial Intelligence is another area that is getting a lot of press. And rightly so. The last year has seen some major advances in AI that we will cover in this track. When it comes to authentication biometrics is really where the cutting edge resides today. We will cover these hot topics and more on the Cutting Edge in Fintech track. How the Blockchain Will Impact Financial Services Many believe blockchain technology is in its proof of concept stage, but companies around the world are investing significantly to put this new technology to work. The leading companies in blockchain will share what is actually happening today and how this new technology will impact financial services going forward. Artificial Intelligence What is Really Working Today? There is no technology that is more hyped today than artificial intelligence. Almost every company in fintech is touting its superior use of AI. In this session we cut through the noise and discover what is working today and what shows promise. How Biometrics is Changing Online Identity Verification The future of identity verification will be biometric. From a simple thumb print on your smartphone to a complex multifactor face recognition system the world is moving to biometric authentication. This industry is moving fast so in this session we ll hear about success stories from companies in the trenches and we will also discuss the barriers and the challenges facing this technology. Credit & Underwriting In the lending business good underwriting is critical which is why we have an entire track devoted to this topic. Big data infuses all of good underwriting today but no more so than in artificial intelligence which we will cover in some depth. New approaches in AI are allowing for the creation of new risk models that are more predictive than ever before. In our Credit & Underwriting track we will also be covering the very latest in fraud prevention as well as the challenges of expanding the credit spectrum to include the underbanked. DAY 1 2 LendIt Europe London, October 2017 lendit.com/europe

Targeting the Underbanked Using Alternative Data The real opportunity for fintech is expanding access to capital. Underbanked consumers have been ignored by traditional finance leaving a void that is being filled by the online platforms. In this session we highlight the work that is being done by a variety of innovative platforms today. We will discuss the challenges of assessing risk with limited financial data and how platforms today are successfully underwriting underbanked borrowers. Combatting Fraud and Reducing Risk With Machine Learning There is no bigger issue facing online platforms today than fraud. As professional criminals become more sophisticated it is more important than ever for online platforms to have the very best fraud detection. In this panel we ll explore the unique ways companies are reducing the risk of fraud, highlighting the established players as well as the newer entrants in this space. Use Case: How AI Can Reduce Risk Artificial intelligence has been making its presence felt in risk management for some time. Real progress has been made in improving underwriting through the use of AI. In this session we will explore what is working, what is just hype, and why AI is a must-have tool for today s credit risk department. Investor Insights Investors provide the capital that has fueled the rise of fintech. As the industry has matured so have the investment vehicles. This track will focus on the different kinds of investors and what we need to know about their latest needs. Whether it be individual investors, the publicly traded trusts, securitization vehicles or wealth managers we have everyone covered on our Investor Insights track. Securitization in the US and Europe Why has securitization become so popular in the US but is still at the nascent stage in Europe? Is it purely a matter of scale? Panelists will discuss previous securitizations in both regions and what we can expect for this market going forward. The Public Funds: An Exercise in Patience? The focus of the large public funds is changing. They are moving away from funding marketplace lending platforms to a more direct lending model. Learn what is behind this change and where they think the best opportunities are going forward. Investing for Yield Across the Eurozone This panel focuses on the investor opportunity across Europe. Moderated by an investor with first hand experience investing in loans on all the platforms represented by the four panelists, attendees will learn about returns, default rates, credit data and risks in this practical session. DAY 1 3 LendIt Europe London, October 2017 lendit.com/europe

Day 2 Innovations in Lending The three major asset classes in online lending are consumer, small business and property. We will hear from the most innovative European companies in each category, we will focus on borrower acquisition, attracting capital and how they are finding the right balance between each. We will learn what is new and working today and how that has changed over the past year. Closing the Gap in Small Business Financing Needs Small business is the engine of the economy throughout Europe and the world. And small business lending is the fuels that fires this engine. In this panel hear from the companies on the front lines of the revolution in small business lending across Europe. Innovation in Consumer Lending Across Europe Hear from the leaders in consumer marketplace lending across Europe. What are the real innovations today driving consumer lending forward and how are the leading platforms responding to regulatory and competitive pressures. Digital Banking The changes happening in banking today are profound. The arrival of open banking, with open APIs and data sharing becoming mandatory in 2018, will bring more change for the banking industry in the next two years than in the last 20. Non-bank apps are providing more banking services than ever before and digital banks are gaining traction so the very notion of what is a bank is being challenged. We will cover all this and more in our Digital Banking track. The Rebundling of Banking by Non-Banks A curious thing has happened in the last year or so. Banks have been disintermediated for many years with fintech companies taking on different niches within banking. But in the age of digital banking the reverse is now happening. Non-banks are bringing together many different niches within one unified customer experience. What is a bank in the age of open banking? Open banking is a game changer in Europe. With the arrival of PSD2 consumers will have more control over their data than ever before. Non-banks and banks alike will be able to present consumers with a complete financial picture. Who will win the consumers loyalty? What does it mean to be a bank in this new age? In this panel we ll explore these questions and more as we contemplate the impact of open banking. DAY 2 4 LendIt Europe London, October 2017 lendit.com/europe

Policy and Regulation There is a delicate balance that all governments must grapple with the balance between fostering innovation and protecting consumers. At the same time fintech platforms have to adhere to the regulatory framework as it exists today keeping in mind that this is likely to change. This is where Regtech can help a new breed of company that provide services to make the entire compliance process more efficient. These are just some of the topics we will be covering in the Policy and Regulation track. How Brexit Will Change the Face of European Fintech There is a lot of uncertainty as the UK leaves the European Union. How will UK fintech firms adapt? How will European fintech firms approach the UK in the future? In this panel we ll hear perspectives from a wide range of speakers located across Europe to see how they see Brexit playing out as it relates to fintech. The Coming Regtech Revolution The cost of regulatory compliance is a large burden for most financial firms. Increasingly we are seeing Regulatory Technology (RegTech) companies who aim to make compliance more efficient. In this panel RegTech firms will share the services they are offering and how significantly they can impact the bottom line. *This document is subject to change DAY 2 5 LendIt Europe London, October 2017 lendit.com/europe
