Commercial or homemade. Contestants will dress the broom. This can be done with scarves, hats, string, gloves, mops, vines, leaves, sunglasses, clothes, etc; just to name a few. The broom must be free standing and no taller than 6 and no wider than 3. 2 Tree Decorating Contest 2018 Theme - Christmas In July Use an artificial tree to decorate with your favorite Christmas theme. Using the paper mache hand on a base provided by the fair and using any materials and techniques turn the 11 hand on a 5 base into a creative entry. To pick up one of the 15 hands available, bring your entry form and entry fee to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Blue Shields Building on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 between the hours of 4:00 to 7:30 PM. Refer to General Exhibit Rules for details as to entering the finished hand at the fair in July. Entrants must be 16 years and over. Class 1 We'll Hand It to You Sponsored by SECTION 7 Quilt Block Contest Premiums $15.00 $10.00 $8.00 Create a quilt block using the 2018 Fair Theme Farms, Families, Fairs, Fun! with new fabric and an earth tone color palate. Each block must be 12 ½ x 12 ½ including seam allowance. Rules state that the block must be 100% cotton, prewashed and treated to prevent bleeding with no buttons, charms, or paint. Only one entry per exhibitor per category. Each entry becomes the property of the Jefferson County Fair General Exhibits Committee.
