Online Book Club Adventure to the Planet Mars Bring It To Life! 1. Mars Spacecraft! Organize your book club into groups of four. Draw a name of one of the amazing spacecraft that have explored Mars out of a hat. Research the spacecraft that you draw and make a poster board presenting your findings. Make sure to include five or more facts about your spacecraft, a picture of the spacecraft, and an interesting discovery your spacecraft made. 2. Be a Martian! Use pipe cleaners to create your own special Martian antennae to wear during your time at Book Club. Have fun! 3. Explore Mars! Pretend you are a Mars explorer. Write your own journal entry for a day of exploration on the surface of Mars. Make sure to include important findings, dangers you come across, interesting observations you may have, and where you eat and rest during the day. Be creative! Explain how it feels to be on the surface of Mars. Are you scared? Are you excited? Let everyone know! 4. Martian artwork! Draw a picture of what you think Mars would look like if you were riding on the Jolly Rocket in Ms. Bogus class. Include your own idea of what the Face on Mars may look like, as well as how you picture the surface of Mars. Don t forget to make it red!
