Insignia Narrator Introduction Congratulations on your purchase of a high-quality Insignia product. Your NS-CLHD01 represents the state of the art in HD Radio design and is designed for reliable and trouble-free performance. Important safety instructions 1 Read these instructions. 2 Keep these instructions. 3 Heed all warnings. 4 Follow all instructions. 5 Do not use this apparatus near water. 6 Clean only with dry cloth. 7 Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. 8 Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. 9 Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. 3

NS-CLHD01 10 Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. 11 Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped. 12 To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this device to rain, moisture, dripping, or splashing, and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on it. Additional safety information Features Do not leave your radio in temperatures above 104 F (40 C), such as in a sauna or a parked car. Using earphones or headphones for an extended time may cause serious damage to your hearing. If you are exposed to sound louder than 85dB for extended time, you may adversely affect your hearing. The louder the sound is, the more seriously damaged your hearing may be (an ordinary conversation is between 50dB to 60dB and road noise is approximately 80dB). You are strongly advised to set the volume level to medium (the medium level is usually less than 2/3 of the maximum). If you hear a ringing in your ear(s), lower the volume or stop using the earphones or headphones. Do not place your radio near magnetic objects.
