Standard Set-up 1. Players role off to place 1 st of 6 objectives, then alternate placing objectives in order 1 through 6. 2. Players role off to determine who is Player 1 and who is Player 2. The winner decides. Player 1 chooses deployment zone, deploys army first, and has the first player turn (unless stolen by Player 2) 3. All games are random game length. If only one player has a Lord of war, then the opposing player may choose to use the warlord trait table out of the Escalation Book. They also receive a +1 to steal initiative. 1 The entry fee provides access to the 3 rounds of the tournament and one entry into the painting contest. This entry must be painted by the player and it must be used in the player s army. $10.00 of the entry fee will be used toward prize support, with the additional $10.00 being given to the cause Fight for Mike. 2 Only Codexes released 2 weeks or earlier from the tournament are allowed. 3 Only one Fortification Slot is allowed. If you wish to field buildings in the Stronghold Assault book that do not have GW models, or is you wish to use custom fortifications, these must meet approval by the TO 4 Only IA army list and codexes listed for purchase 2 week prior to the tournament will be allowed. Painting Competition There will be a competition. The subject will be Support Units. A support unit is classified as a unit or model whose primary purpose and role is to aid others in your army. For example, Apothecaries give the unit they are in feel no paint, Tau Pathfinders provide marker lights, Eldar Farseers guide, fortune and doom units, etc. Consideration for how the unit applies to the theme will be considered when picking the unit. Feel free to include a brief description of how the unit fills this roll if you find it nessissary. The entry fee for each entry in the painting competition is $3.00. Anyone can enter as long as the miniature is present for judging and the painter is present at the awards ceremony. One free entry into the competition is included as part of the registration fee for the tournament. It is non-transferrable and it must be a unit played in the tournament. The prize for winning the competition is equivalent of 25% of the tournament fees collected plus any of the painting competition entry fees. Additional rules for the painting competitions can be found on the Hit Point Hobbies Website. Faction Competition When you sign up for the tournament, you will be asked which faction you wish to support. The options are: Space Marine, Imperium of Man, Forces of Chaos, Eldar, Tau, Necron and Tyranids. The faction you choose does not have to be based on the army you play in the tournament. We will be tracking every dollar that comes in to raise money for Fight for Mike and the money each player donates will be added to a faction total. The faction that raises the most money will gain bragging rights and the faction will be featured in the Top Banner for the NC 40k Warhammer Gamers Facebook page until Labor Day. In addition, the August tournament will be themed after that faction. Auctions Several people have donated painted figures, unopened miniatures and reading material for Auction for the event.
